General consensus seems to be that we still have the stronger squad on paper. Taking your City hat off, which starting XI would you rather have?

Liverpool
Alisson
Arnold Van Dijk Lovren Robertson
Fekir Fabinho Keita
Salah Firmino Mané

City
Ederson
Walker Kompany Laporte Mendy
De Bruyne Fernandinho Silva
Mahrez Aguero Sané

I’d have the team that actually have players who know how to win the league and cups Those Liverpool players don’t know how to win trophies all they do know is to lose trophies.

Had to laugh when Lovren claimed to be one of the best defenders in the world days before conceding four goals in the world cup final to make it four successive cup final losses for club and country.

After spending an obscene amount of money, if the dippers don’t win the league, Klopp should be sacked

Dippers are getting well giddy. Still think we have a better squad and a better Manager.

They are a good cup team but can they find a way through the packed defences in the League.

The dippers were giddy with joe Allen in the team. Nothing new there

Can we cost their most expensive first XI? Must be shit loads. Given they’ve not won owt in years (so can’t play the success means we can spend card) they’re buying the title, Shirley?

no one else ever seems to set themselves up for such spectacular falls the way the dippers do....they just never learn...ever....

I think Liverpool signing Alisson might be the best thing that happens to us all summer.

Can you imagine how Pep feels? He must be smiling like a cheshire cat. All summer he'll have been wondering how he keeps this team as hungry as they were last season, how he makes sure the 19 point margin of victory doesn't go to their heads and how he can keep people on their toes while only bringing in one player. The biggest enemy was complacency.

And then Klopp goes and kicks off the great dipper "Next year's our year" machine and suddenly I'm reading about how, City who finished 25 points ahead might be slight favourites over Liverpool, or how 100 journalists on twitter think it's an original thought to say "LIverpool are my dark horse tip to win the league over City" etc.

They've done Pep's biggest job for him.

Signed Alisson.

Come Christmas Klopp will be under huge pressure; sitting 2nd in the table, 10 points behind us with no excuses.

They’ve got a very good first 11 but very little depth in the squad behind it. Couple of injuries and they are fucked.

Anyone seen Alisson’s signing comments, fucker is scouse already, “I’m joining a club/family that is used to always winning”

Since when?

100m in excess of ours roughly? Any FFP issues for them ?
Not really, because they sold some players for big money, something we don't do, we keep hold of our best players as they have no need to go elsewhere, so when they talk net spend, it translates to our best players who are worth money clocked we were shit and wanted to join a team that wins things, where as we have had the best years out of players we could have sold for treble what we spent on them , net spend equals team with no ambition
