they have a way with words ;-)

Oakie
I remember when Leicester won it ... so many cringeworthy comments on here ref luck,drug-taking etc.
We are not very good at handing out "well dones" to other winners and as you say we should handle it with dignity./QUOTE]oakie you live in winsford you should know better to put the words liverpool and dignity ever in the same sentence !!

Again, I'm not sure of the benefit of it. The poster could put down anywhere as a location, and without access to their IP address (which the mods have, I believe), you can't know if they're lying or telling the truth. Same goes for their footballing loyalties. I could be a utd fan for all most people on here would know.

Even those who have met me at games!
;-)
I think it would make them think twice if they had to be upfront, the ones that come to talk footy like mature adults shouldn't be afraid to say who they support,as i said it makes better sense in my head but then i am nice but dim lol
As you were

RIP former Liverpool winger Peter Thompson. He looked a decent tidy committed player whenever ive watched footage of late 60s/early 70s Liverpool.
I can remember having him in my first set of football player cards as a kid.
God i must be getting old!

ha ha ha - they hype goes on. 5Live now they have an Evening Standard journo commenting on the dippers.......a scouser....and a fan......you kind of wonder where the objectivity is there. Funny thing was they led into it by saying Klopp is a winner - he has won the league twice with Dortmund.

That would be 10/11 and 11/12. Plus a couple of German cups in 2012 and 2014

Pep meanwhile - 3 x La Liga titles, 2 Copa del Reys, 3 supercups de espana, 2 x CL, 3 x european super cups, 3 world club cups, 3 bundesleagues, 2 german cups, 1 Pl and 1 EFL cup - yep just the one winner there...............

To be honest I thought we still had a chance but today I read the three page dipper love in that the Mail did and I realise we haven't a prayer.

Just one question, has anyone still got a copy of the three page love in they did for us last season ? If so can I borrow it please I can't seem to find my copy.

I’ve just had a look on the O/S ticket site, and there’s NOT ONE available in the WHOLE STADIUM.

Scouse wankers!

Exactly. It’s bollocks. The game officially sold out months ago but won’t be classed as a sell out by the club due to the fact that ST holders who can’t attend are free to stick their ticket back on the exchange for resale up to and including the day of the match. So every now and then the odd ticket will pop up here and there on the planner and will promptly be snapped up.
City don’t help matters on this to be honest and leave themselves open to ridicule from clueless opposition fans by saying fans can buy up to 4 tickets each (when I doubt there’s ever even 4 tickets available in the whole stadium at any one time for this particular match). It would be better to say that the game is sold out - which it is - but state that some tickets will invariably be put up for resale on the exchange by those ST holders who can’t attend for whatever reason, and advise fans to keep checking the planner periodically for availability.

He explains by saying “impressing those in charge”.

Doesn’t mean I agree with it, just explaining what he means.

I can’t get away from the fact that he can produce refereeing performances like he did against Wigan, Chelsea & then polar opposite against Rags this year.

You tell me if the poor performances had any negative impact on his career.

Every top manager is a "winner". I'm not sure I ever understood what exactly defines a winner. Mansgers don't have the same tools. They don't have the same teams.

Pochettino has done as good a job at Spurs over the past few years as anyone could have done. Klopp took a floundering Liverpool team and completely transformed them after spending 120m GBP net, about a third of what Mourinho spent at United.

The latter won a league up, while the former didn't.
Who's going to suggest that Mourinho did a better job at United than Klopp has done at Liverpool so far?

That's not only reductive. It's plain silly. Guardiola himself - when asked about it only a couple of months ago - said that they (managers aren't jiudged by only trophies). He referenced Pochettino and the work he has done at Tottenham.

Love the angst of Liverpool fans over the appointment of Mr Altrincham as the match referee.
Guess what Scallies? We're not that impressed either!

How dare they call the Alty Lad into question - if he's not reffing the rags he has no bias at all...... he will hate both us and the dippers with equal venom
