Excellent stuff mate, I think this description of Dipper qualities should be advanced, and we make a competition out
of it. Here's my offering...
Mr Ed, his excitement growing as the match nears its finale with the Dippers two up, leaps into the air
as though someone has shoved a flare up his fundament, frantically striking out with clenched fists in a pantomime
of joy, akin to watching a pissed up punch drunk ex light heavyweight at closing time.
Carragher, commentating, then screams unintelligible spittle flecked congratulations and swears that L'pull
will deffo win the leeeeegue.
La.
I think a few Vogon poets will soon be out of work on Merseyside.

Pains me to say but I think they will go unbeaten in the league for the remaining games. Fat Rafa will roll over for them and apart from Wolves who have nothing to play for and are in a terrible run of form it will be easy for them. We need to win every game in my opinion. It’s a shame rags still looking for that 4th spot so will go full strength.

I think Townsend's will take some beating.
Not if club politics comes into play, which would be a shame, as it was a once in a season (overall) and once in a career (for a lucky player) job, which is what GOTS should be if going to an individual effort.

Unbeaten is fine. If they draw every game we only need two more wins :)

Just seen that salah goal, and yes it was a good hit - but goal of the season !!!! don't make me laugh

Anyway.....there are five games to go and the more this goes on the pressure will crank up far more than it is now. The question is if the dippers can cope with that pressure whilst in game, if a game is held in the latter stages in a draw or on a 1-0 lead, will they revert back to how they have handled pressure in the past

That is major question still unanswered
Mate as long as opposing goal keepers keep cheating, they'll be fine!

Lol. As it stands, we have 1 game extra to play, compared to Liverpool, before the Premier League finishes. We don't look fatigued as it stands, we've used the squad well. Looking at the first leg results in the CL, there's actually a fair chance that we'll have a lighter workload than the dippers between now and the end of the league season. Just Keown talking shite again, although he's not alone, a lot of the media seem to think we have to replay all 11 extra cup games between now and the end of the season, we have one domestic cup game left and we won't play it until a week after the league ends.

Our main players have pretty much same minustes played this season as theirs. The only difference is that ours played it in 4-5 competitions and their in two. Van Diyk has 3000+ minutes in the league, salah and Robertson 2900, Firmino 2700. Walker with 2700 is the most used player in the league in our squad and only BSilva with 2600 has more than 2400.

Playing Spurs 3 times before Regs is shit though. I'd rather we got someone else in CL, it's hard thing to rotate 3 times against same team in 10 days. And first game showed it immediately with probably bit of Pep's overthinking.

Exactly. If anything I'd say our key men are fresher. If you want to see fatigue, look at the 5 minute spell after Salah's goal yesterday where nobody was pressing or marking and Chelsea could have scored 3. That's mental fatigue right there.

Just a pity that the rest of the league cant seem to find their shooting boots against this lot. Clearcut scoring situations are either fluffed, and to go one step further the oppo keeper will through it in his own goal for the dippers win

Yeah, they've had a lot of it this season, but tbf there's a couple of teams every season like that. Last season it was the rags and Burnley (also us to a lesser extent, we've probably been better this season but have 4 points less). This season it's the dippers and Palace. Replay their games again and they'd probably get around 10 or 12 points less.

Be interesting to see what difference VAR makes on all clubs points tally next season. It wouldn't have made a difference at the weekend as the score would have stayed 1-0 against chelsea considering their shooting was crap, but the other week Salah should have seen red for that challenge that could have been a leg breaker

hence he would now be serving a ban

We'll see. I reckon we keep the same standard up and we're well ahead of Liverpool at the end of next season anyway, VAR or no VAR they won't get the same luck of the bounce next season. Rags haven't been any worse this season yet they're going to finish lower in the table with less points. Burnley haven't been any worse yet went from a comfy seventh to the relegation scrap. Palace play like they have next season they'll be relegated. The question is whether we can keep the same high standard up.
