There are one or two decent scousers over on RAWK....

No matter how fucking disappointed we might be, time to remember that it's only fucking football at the end of the day.
I actually have decent memories of quite a few City mates who I knew years ago, long before the oil money and they were great blokes.
City aren't there yet, there's another game to go. But even if it's not our year, just thank God that we've been fit and able to enjoy the ride, however it ends.
Without wanting to sound an ol' arse who's all fucking wise, 'cos I'm not and I don't want to, but let me just remind us all of one of the Kop's greatest nights . And we didn't win either.

It was 1969 and we drew at home to Leeds and the League went to Leeds. The Leeds team ran towards the Kop( encouraged by Don Revie ) and the Kop shouted back "Champions! Champions!" It was pure class from us.A masterclass in respecting the enemy.
As much as Billy Bremner and Co. were despised, our supporters were brilliant in defeat. It was one of our proudest moments. That was and is the Liverpool way.
What am I trying to say? Just get over the disappointment fellas. We haven't lost yet and we're still in with a shout.
If it doesn't happen, there'll always be next year.
Nothing's worth the hatred once the game's over.

That PL trophy will be quietly sneered at; it's already considered a trinket by them, incidental to their main ambition. So even if we fail to win it, console yourselves with the knowledge that it means absolutely nothing to them.

It would be a massive knock to their confidence if they don't win it. Sure the media never talk about it, but they would've bottled a 7 point lead with the chance to go 10 clear, you'd have to look at plopps lack of adventure against us and the rags and say he was conservative and paid for it. They've had help all the way, they shouldn't even be in this position if you take away the offside goals and the salah dives in the box. Literally everyone ( including opposition goalkeepers ) have done everything they possibly could to get them over the line.

Not counting any chickens there's work to be done, but just imagine coming second on 97 points, it would be absolutely harrowing!

I also believe football comes in cycles, the way PEG had Chelsea playing first time round had a shelf life, managers will eventually find a way to counter his football, if they have the balls to implement it!

10 points clear at one stage.

Anyway this is another reason we simply must win the title, the psychological blow it would inflict would carry over for many years. VAR is coming next season so bad news for them.

This season was the perfect storm for them. If they don’t win it this season they won’t win it anytime soon.

Perfect storm for reasons below
-multiple keepers putting it into their own net in essence gifting them at least 9 points
-how many offside goals did they score?
-their core players Salah, Mane, Firmino, Van Dijk, Robertson, TAA playing virtually every game for the second season running with NO injuries, this is truly unbelievable, also no suspensions to contend with either
-best player in the league De Bruyne injured for almost the whole season
-Mendy injured for almost all of the season second year running
-Salah diving at every opportunity and never getting banned, even winning multiple penalties
-out of both domestic cups early
-etc etc etc

We absolutely must win the title this season, it will completely destory them.
