I'm fairly sure its going to help regarding offside goals.The way VAR has been used in football so far would indicate one team being favoured and another team fucked over. It doesn't need a lot of imagination to work out which team is which!

It is a joke but better than the current situation. With VAR Fabinho is booked for diving and Liverpool don't score at Newcastle. The linesman was three yards away. That was not a straight decision. The look on the Newcastle player's face tells you everything. That way they're only able to make a decision on the event in question without them knowing which team they are making a decision on.
Off side rulings. Get rid of the assistant referees (they can't keep up with the pace of play anyway).
The simple replacement would be a high speed camera mounted on a track that runs parallel to both touch lines. Just like goal line technology there would be no errors.
