Let's wait and see if it turns out to be a masterstroke. It looks like a decent signing. The media hype doesn't always come true and no one gets more hype than Liverpool.

as proven by him in my draft fantasy team last season. He'll sit on their bench nicely though and chip with a few goals and assists but it's hardly Sancho or Werner.

You can’t ask much more from your back up though. And there’s the fact that 99% of the players Klopp has signed have gone up at least another level under his tutelage. He’s a belting young player who could easily get miles better quickly. We’re definitely interested in him though, it’s certainly more than just speculation.

Nabby Keita looked brilliant at Leipzig but has not really made the transition to the Premier League. I think Thiago has been an excellent player but he was in and out of the Bayern team last season. I also think Fabhino is a great player but he doesn't seem to get much recognition at LFC while golden boy Henderson is hailed as a genius by the English media.
Of course as a City fan I want Thiago to flop so it could just be wishful thinking!

If Thiago was that special Bayern would of paid him what he wants without any hesitation. The same situation with us and Sane and Alaba's current stance at the same club.

As much as I rate Phil, I reckon we need a seasoned and composed world class midfielder like Alcantara. Phil would still feature in a load of games notwithstanding.

Rather have Phil and so would Pep.. Hopefully Phil gets plenty of game time..
