Both teams are also not dissimilar in that they have both suffered burn out in their third season after two high intensity seasons. Pep obviously then went away and rethought his tactics. We now play in a different way which isn't as high intensity or risky. As a result we are harder to beat but probably not as free flowing at times but I'm happy with that. Klopp will find this harder to do with Liverpool as they don't have as many technically gifted players as we do. It will be interesting to see where Liverpool go from here.

The dippers as a football club are a bunch of opportunists, like the scouser that robs your house or takes your hub caps. They aren’t built to dominate and come back year after year to challenge for the league. They were optimised to get two or three decent seasons in to take back a trophy they hadn’t won for 30 years, the rebuild of this team will be huge and I don’t think their owners have the money to back Klopp and get it done without selling the crown jewells. Will Madrid pay big money for Salah and Mane, there’s better long term value going after Mpappe and Haaland.

They are what we thought they would be, a nuisance that was irritating as fuck at the time with their giddy fans, convinced in their thinking they were set to dominate English football. The implosion has been something to behold, if we went on to win nothing this year them getting their comeuppance has been well worth watching this season for, whilst City sweep all before them.

Wijnaldum is off in the summer as they cant pay him what he wants. All their big players have 2 years left on their deals this summer (Salah, Mane, Van Dijk, Firmino, Fabinho) along with the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita and Henderson. Yet none have signed a new deals. But the media and their fans still think they will sign Mbappe and Haaland.

Fucking delusion. Cant wait until they finish 6th and implode

Serving up half hearted performances would be getting slaughtered by a crowd and the pressure even greater.
