I think this same device was used in the media when CIty were top and it was used to praise United gor being back in the 'big 6' when in fact they were 7th.

Salah's goals were "clinical" and "sweet", but no more than a passing mention of Villa's goals, particularly Watkins' genuine hat trick. And, of course, the pointing out of the deflections.
