Jurgen Flopp interview tomorrow, we would have had a draw had they not kept kicking the ball into our net

Wonder if bingo will mention in the media that his preparation has gone well this week in preparing for the game against Leicester due to the extra days rest his team have had..!

Biggest hypocrite going..!

They're not super dooper champions of the world anymore...

Bet that hurts.
I'll state now that i don't recognize it as a big trophy anyway.
I'll feel the same if we win it.
The dippers just used to love it because it had the words "World Cup" in it.
I now know who won this for the last 2 times. Two years ago I didn't even know who played in it

I lived and worked in Peterborough in the late '80's early '90's. More plastic dippers with the odd rag thrown in here and there. Always got a nod from the proper supporters, mainly Leeds, Millwall & West Ham when I mentioned where I was from and who I supported. The followers of the scouse vermin were just as bad then and that was before wall to wall coverage began. I still keep in contact with a good mate I made back then and he tells me that since 1992 (I came home in 94) the swing towards the rags has been immense. Peterborough regularly have supporters inside the ground (ah the good old days!) wearing the shits of these two and it always causes trouble with the Posh fans. My mate isn't averse to twatting someone and has done when provoked. Back in the day he came with me to watch a fair few City games, Leicester, Norwich, Ipswich, Forrest and so on and he loved how mental we were. I would go and watch Posh and believe me the hooligan element in the lower divisions was huge at every club. He's done really well for himself, so much so that he was in India when 93:20 happened and was asked to calm down by the hotel management when Sergio scored! He's visited Argentina and, he really did love Zaba, mentioned him and got into quite a few football conversations because of it. City are very well thought of out there he tells me. He's travelled a whole lot more than me and he's insistent that the dippers are not the force they reckon they are. He's got no agenda, he's a Posh fan and classes City as his bit on the side. The rags have the admirers abroad due solely to global exposure thanks to Sly he's seen these 'supporters' slowly drifting away towards City. He also doesn't like the current Peterborough manager, calls him baby bacon and nobody knows why he calls him that! (don't know where he learned that from ;) )

You seem to ignoring the very different ways our clubs have risen to the “highest plains”. Man City slow buildup play, skilful control of the ball and diction of play in the final third; Liverpool high octave, pacey pressing game with long balls and continuous running. Which way needs drugs?
To be honest, through the last year I’ve gone a bit lazy, drunk a lot more than usual and am definitely in need of some drugs!

The irony of this post from rawk. The likes of Liverpool, United and Arsenal are the very definition of tourist clubs. I can’t comprehend how stupid this post is, it’s like he/she thinks Anfield is full of scousers every game. ‘I’m sure we’ve picked up a fair few over the years’. No shit you clown. Go to any village/town/city around England, mainly places that have teams in the lower divisions and they will be infested with fake rags and dippers.

There are loads of 'fans' like that out there, aren't there. I'm sure we've picked up a fair few over the years due to our success too. Abu Dhabi will have suddenly found their 'fan' base growing in recent seasons too. I genuinely feel sorry for these people. They have no genuine connection to the clubs they attach themselves to, have no genuine affinity with them or passion for them. They are just insecure and need to feel associated with someone or something currently seen as successful.

Even in these parts some are not immune to it. I recall in the 90s when Blackburn took the Title with Jack Walker's money and Newcastle were an exciting prospect under Keegan. I saw a couple of Blackburn and Newcastle shirts on lads around our way not even known for their interest in football. Of course, as both clubs went on the wane, those shirts were never seen again. I've even spotted a kid in a full Abu Dhabi Sportswash kit in Aintree Asda a few times.

It's all so very soulless, but then again, a soulless 'fan' base for a soulless club with morally bankrupt owners sort of suits that lot at the Emptyhad.
I saw this on squawk and just laughed... they might not be champions anymore at the end of this season, but they're the eternal champions of self delusion.

I had a 'net "discussion" with one of them where I asked his thoughts on the fact that over the 5 seasons between us moving to a ground of comparable size to theirs, prior to Abu Dhabi coming on the scene, we recorded a higher average attendance than them...despite the fact that we were skint and fighting relegation and they were fighting for CL places. The response I received was 'you inflate your attendance figures'... when we were struggling to pay for anything and had a ridiculously low transfer budget, we were artificially inflating our attendances leading to higher tax bills...rightho!

I then asked whether they'd be able to average nearly 29,000 in the third tier, bearing in mind that smelly hippie airport would see a massive drop in arrivals from Scandinavia and Dublin on match days if they were playing at that level... didn't get an answer.

Best team in Europe plays a couple of games against the Egyptian Dinner Ladies 11 and the Mexican Ladyboys 11.

Never been a trophy in its fucking life.

It's not just the most supported though, it's the type of people who support them. Man Utd and previously Liverpool are magnets for glory supporters, who are the worst kind of fans. The sort of people who are giving it billy big bollocks when they're winning, but are suddenly nowhere to be found when they're not doing so well. The number of Liverpool fans who have recently reemerged after "not really being into football" for about 10 years was incredible. And because they only started supporting them in the first place because they were the best team, they feel like they've got some sort of divine right to always win things. Most people outside of Manchester grew up knowing one or two City fans, if any. But go to any small town with a shit football team and 90% of the wankers in the town are Man Utd fans if they're my age, and Liverpool fans if they're my dad's age. The type of people who walk into the pub on a Sunday clearly not knowing that their team is playing and then pretend to give a shit when they notice the score shows they're winning.

No doubt it'll change if we keep winning and attract more glory supporters, but most City fans at the moment are still of an age where they can remember being in the third tier not knowing if their club would survive. Nobody who's not currently a kid is supporting City because they are the best team.
Glory supporters are the absolute worst. Giving it the big one at me even though i've actually seen my team play and supported us even when we were relegation fodder. Although some actual matchgoing Liverpool fans are like that too, tbf.
