My stepfamily, funnily enough, are Chelsea and they absolutely hate Liverpool. I can't remember exactly why, but I do know my stepdad finds all the incessant tonguebathing in the media nauseating. We've talked about it a few times. He was really happy about the derby!

They must be very badly run if they are skint with the size of their revenues and the value of their worldwide sponsorships. There is no reason why they should fail FFP (which is relaxed at present anyway because of the pandemic)
In the last two seasons they have spent less than West Ham and less than half the money spent by Everton and Spurs (let alone United and City). It can't all be wages. Where has all the money gone?

Their owner has no plan or desire to spend money. All American owners want is to reduce competition and earn as much money out of the club they own as possible.
