There is a real possibility that the dippers will be seen for what they really are.
The press would have everybody believe they are the best team ever seen.
But if they drop away this season, the bare facts do not lie.
They would be a flash in the pan. The very epitome of buying success.
Spend like crazy, and also buying some of the world's most expensive players in their positions.
Dropping out of the domestic cups early and only winning one trophy per season. (the fake cups don't count)
Then after two season fall away.
If they do spend again, it makes a mockery of angry dads statement that he would rather pack in football than spend for success. (even though that is what he has already done)
They have been a very good side. They have pushed us every step of the way for two years.
But they have been working at their peak, sacrificing cups and with no clear plan for what happens next. We have been breaking records, sweeping up cups and going deep into anything we have entered. We have also been looking to the future, to make sure this success will be maintained.
