If they drop more points before facing us and we win our games, then they're probably out of it even if they beat us.It's a little bit like Xmas 2018 in reverse - we lost two on the spin to Leicester and Palace and everyone said we were done. We then had a must-win home game against the scousers.
They will show up for sure when we go to Anfield and if they manage to turn us over, they are right back in it.
The Klanfield part is bollocks, every team needs fans to drive them in games not just them, and the famous Anfield atmosphere is a myth, they were still beating everyone there up until the last few games when their barren run started.Several factors contributing to their performance (Or lack of...) atm:
- There squad doesnt have the depth in quality.
- Klopp hasnt rotated enough in that when the second string players are needed they are coming in cold with no form.
- Teams are applying the low block/counter tactic against them (As we have for the last 3 years) and they dont have the creativity to break through.
- No fans at Anfield to drive players through games is effecting them more than any other club.
- Klopp doesnt handle (real) pressure very well and this is reflected on the pitch.
If we can keep finding the net then we have a real chance this season.
I can see the league finishing:
- City
- Leicester
- United
- Liverpool
The scousers have had the benefit of playing away in empty stadiums too. When we defended our title we had to play in front of baying crowds desperate to put one over on the greatest team English football has seen. We’ve been facing these deep lying defences since we started twatting everyone in the first part of the 2011-12 season under Mancini.
Plus as soon as you’re the champions, every fucker plays out of their skin against you. because, well, they’re playing the champions! The season after winning the league is always a much tougher season than the season before.
Has anyone got time to get the stats?Read this morning that during Liverpool’s unbeaten home run, City have accrued more home points and scored more goals in the same number of games.
