As a new poster, although I've followed the boards for a couple of years, I'm curious about the opinion of city fans about the strength of the respective first teams and squad depth.

On a 4-3-3 formation, and with a red bias, I would have selected a combined team of :

Alisson = Ederson

Robinson > Mendy
Alexander Arnold > Walker
VVD > Ake
Laporte > Gomes

Fabinho > Fernandinho
De Bruyne > Henderson
Rodri > Henderson

Mane = Sterling
Salah > Jesus
Aguero > Firminho

Klopp = Pep

That would give 5 Liverpool, 4 City and 2 equal. That doesn't necessarily mean I think Liverpool is a better team, just on this head to head match up. Perhaps the comparisons aren't appropriate, perhaps you disagree?

In the past almost everyone would have said City have much stronger depth. Probably still true but perhaps less so than for many years with some of your recent best players retiring/aging while Liverpool have finally managed to improve past just the first team.
Fucking hell! Not another one?

lf you think Allison is as good as Ederson, Fabinho is better than Fernandinho, Terrence Trent Darby is better than Kyle Walker, Klippety is the equal of Pep, you can have Jordan fucking Henderson in your team twice, and we play Sergio and Jesus in the same XI, there’s no point in talking with you, so I won’t.

Could we not compare City’s eleven to Leicester and Blackburn? They won a premier league trophy once.

Very disappointing that for someone that "this means more" to, would make so many obvious errors...so obviously a Chelsea supporter.

...but it is for the responses to posts like this that I visit here as they always raise a smile....."Jesus loves him more than he will know"...

Guardiola has won 3 times as many trophies as Klopp. If that makes them equal, I'm been taught maths extremely badly since school.

ahh, what you’ve done is forgotten to multiply Kl0pp’s trophies by “this means more”, once you’ve done that I think you’ll find they’re equal ;-)

I couldn’t give two fucks to be honest. I don’t come on bluemoon to read the inane ramblings of plastic liverpool fans.

Looking at all this team comparison stuff, as an arsenal fan, all I can say is that its difficult to compare both sides.

Yes the Liverpool team is good but imo the system brings out the best in the Liverpool players. I think more Liverpool players would struggle to adapt and excel to their current levels in the City team than vice versa. This is only an opinion though. I think only Thiago, VVD and Mane could do it personally and maybe Firminho.

It seems they can come on here spouting drivel with impunity. I come in peace and just want to talk football bollocks doesn't wash with me, I wouldn't dream of going on other teams forums. What is the matter with the sad cunts

I think you’ve answered your own question there.

FULL TIME | A fine afternoon's work on Merseyside by City and a day to remember for hat-trick hero Tai Sodje.
Result! [emoji460]️[emoji170][emoji123]

[emoji837] 1-3 [emoji838]

Funny how with all the controversy so far this weekend, and I expect that to continue this afternoon, Livarpool are the Monday night game, able to be distanced from the shit decisions. Pigmol will know what they will be able to get away with or not by the time kick off comes around Monday evening. I am sure it's just a coincidence .

Kloop been with Dippers for FIVE years. It took him 4 years for them to win the CL. And took him 5 years to end their PL drought.
And look at Klopp coach history prior Dippers days.

Yeah, whatever. He no Pep. Pep > Klopp.

If Klopp is so good then be like Bayern then, that Bayern coach (Flick) FIRST year won them the Bundes AND the CL!!
Klopp? Took him FIVE years. Lol
