Erm, you were all about the ifs and buts. I’ve referenced you directly there. And no title win is hollow, believe me. I’ve seen plenty of them.
Here’s a question; do you think more neutrals would root for you or us? I’m not talking about supporting an English club in Europe because they’re English, I’m just talking about every day domestic competitions. I’m interested to hear your thoughts here
Depends if they know about the 39 Italians or not. I find that most people I meet that have a "fondness" for liverpool don't and soon change their mind after I tell them.

The other parts of your post are full off ifs, buts and whataboutery. Nothing tangible to examine.
And just remind me; how many points did you finish behind the champions last year? Who was the last team to finish runner up eighteen points behind the winners the season after triumphing? This season will never ever be used as any kind of barometer as to where teams are up to, far too many aggravating factors in play.
In short, whilst you’ll probably win the league this year, this season won’t define you or anybody else indeed. But as to Sunday’s game, where were you before the second goal? Same as us, fancying about hoping for a lapse in concentration. You got that and capitalised, no doubt, but don’t pretend you’ve throughly spanked us because it’s simply not true.
1-4 was a spanking. The main thing that disappointed me about Sunday's City performance was that we shouldn't have taken our foot off your throat... that and the fact that nobody took one for the team and snapped the horrid, sweaty humpback robertson in 2.

Four goals a missed penalty and a dubiously disallowed goal say different.

Two words for any Liverpool fan on here , Phil Foden.

You are fucking despised by the rest of the country!! Only dippers can’t see it.... I’m also guessing you’re not from liverpool.

Yes I know I said it,just wanted to hear you say it as well.

The question is an interesting one,I'll attempt to answer it from my perspective and life events, and I'm 49 bear in mind.

I've worked all over different parts of the country during my career, and met and worked with fans from all kinds of clubs, most of the Yorkshire clubs, the midlands, north east, not so much in the south though, and the general consensus was always I support X and whoever is playing United, not a long standing joke neither, every different fan meant it,absolutely hate United,so it was a general thing.

There was no love lost for Liverpool,in certain areas, especially after certain events, which ironically once blocked our path into Europe, but that's life, but I did find a lot of these other fans had a bit of a soft spot for Liverpoool, like a second team syndrome, mainly because the team they supported were shit,Huddersfield etc,but these were guys of a certain age that had seen Liverpool basically win the lot whilst growing up.

Now fast forward to 2008,the year City were formed, you knew that right ? and these guys who used to say, even scousers I worked with in Runcorn, ahh we don't mind City us,we only hate the scum blah.blah, but that's not the case these days at all,and the general thoughts of some fans have become to dislike City as well, which is absolutely fine by us,we are unique, loyal, and most of all dedicated fans.

So after that mad ramble I'd say 60% of other fans dislike Liverpool to the 40% disliking us,its 100% United unless you support them, but if we were speaking in Scandinavia you'd win hands down.

And the reason there is 40% dislike City now ? Just look in the trophy cabinet, and it's every other fans dream to do and achieve what we have, jealousy, and the 60% that dislike Liverpool ? Well as they say,the majority are very rarely wrong.

I fully understand that you want to stick up for your own team, bud; honestly, I do. We all do that. But a quick word of advice; you're a guest on a City forum. Having digs like the one above (aimed at us, clearly) are not going to do you any favours whatsoever. And won't prolong your stay on here. If you want to take cheap shots at us, RAWK will welcome you with open arms. You might want to go away for a couple of days, and have a think about that.

And, FYI, Utd, Chelsea (twice) and Leicester have all finished more than 18 pts behind the winners, the season after winning the title.
