lets not be fooled here please ? liverpool are still the main title challengers to manchester city

look if city went through a bad patch and within 3 or 4 games got right back into the race. then liverpool have to be respected and could do the same thing ? yes major injuries to key players but is the quality in the premier league good enough when facing them ? ok your all going to say burnley ?? but they are not a push over and hard to play even when your in form. so again manchester city did the same sort of thing this season and it took a bad result vs WBA to hit home that you need to start right here or its over

yes we know united are top but not on merit in my book ? early VAR results and pen help them climb the table to dizzy heights and we seen last season what VAR can do for liverpool. so am not jumping for joy over liverpool just yet and until city open up a big lead over them we should all still fear liverpool and VAR
Well things like merit never stopped them from winning in the past.

As much as I loath the cult (not as much as the rags) I would be fuming if that penalty was awarded against us. Never a penalty in a million years. Can't imagine what was going through the head of the ref and VAR to award that.
Which bit of the pen? Fabinho pulling him back in the box? Gk not getting the ball but sliding into him? Or that lfc shouldn't concede pens unless 3 or 4 goals ahead? Tad confused.

Penalty and possibly a yellow for Allison and a second yellow for Fabinho would have been the correct call.

They gave the pen for the keeper but IMO Barnes deliberately kicked him. That said Fabinho did pull him back but I don’t even think VAR looked at that. As I said, I hate them, delighted they lost but it was awarded against us I would be fuming

Several factors contributing to their performance (Or lack of...) atm:

- There squad doesnt have the depth in quality.
- Klopp hasnt rotated enough in that when the second string players are needed they are coming in cold with no form.
- Teams are applying the low block/counter tactic against them (As we have for the last 3 years) and they dont have the creativity to break through.
- No fans at Anfield to drive players through games is effecting them more than any other club.
- Klopp doesnt handle (real) pressure very well and this is reflected on the pitch.

If we can keep finding the net then we have a real chance this season.

I can see the league finishing:

- City
- Leicester
- United
- Liverpool
Or
City
Leicester
Rags
Everton

Barnes deliberately kicked down with his right foot, but Alisson‘s slide took out his left foot. Definite pen for me.

Omg, thought you were taking the piss & on a fishing trip with your last post. Blatant pen & could never argue if given against us. What makes you think it wasn’t a pen? The fact that the keeper caught the player or the fact that the keeper caught the player?
