They had already been knocked out of the champions league before the period ended whereas we were still playing at the quarters, they weren't expecting any additional revenue whereas we'd get about £15mil overall

Plus they snuck in the champions league final money into this period, another £5mil alongside the club world Cup money (neither they got for this year)

Also remember they made a net transfer profit the summer of 19/20 unlike this summer, yet still lthwir wages increased to 325mil

No champions league football is looking likely for next year

I'd much rather be in our position than theirs

Just had a quick look on my lunch break and the loss of revenue is very similar to ours. Matchday down by £13m, which is the same as us, media down by £59m compared to £45m for us and commercial income up £29m compared to our increase of £19m.

Overall therefore, their revenue dropped by £43m whereas ours dropped by £39m. Wages were up by £15m compared to £36m for us, so that's a net change of wages & revenue of £75m for us compared to £58m for them. Our other big increase was in General Expenses, which was almost certainly related to the legal and associated costs of the FFP case.

Also, they started from a higher profit in 2019 (£42m) compared to our £10m.

Have been reading the hatred posted on that site, their level of hatred, forensic accountancy and sudden interest in human rights is unbelievable.
they go through the full card on the bingo but what really wound me up was someone calling himself “Aguero 9320” more or less jumping on the bandwagon attacking our owners. He caps it off saying he can’t wait til COVID is over so he can get over once or twice a year to watch us
