Next weeks echo headlines

"How Manchester City's lunch menu affects liverpool fc"

"How postponement of Rugby League World Cup helps liverpool fc"

"How eating the last cornetto in your fridge benifits liverpool fc"

"How a surprising twist in an episode of Columbo signals liverpool fc dominance"
Today's Empire Of The Kop headline.
Guardiola is embarrassing himself by signing Grealish and Kane.

They're not bothered about us though and nothing we win counts. Funnily enough auto correct kept changing Kop to Loo. Seems more accurate.

How's about - Liverpool earn massive bucks worldwide which is paid to owners and spent on the Red Sox sound?

VVD has been elevated to almost mythical status simply because of who he plays for. He's a very good defender, of that there can be no doubt, but I just don't see him as being up there with the very best - past and present.

I'd like to say that he's absolutely piss-poor and not good enough for the Prem, but I would be lying to myself. As I say, he's good but he's certainly not the superhero the red-worshipping press would have us all believe.
Have to agree with you and think it is modern day. Everything is "here and now" no real thought about the past and comparing todays players against the best that were out there, that performed year in year out.
Only time will tell whether VVD can return to any sort of decent form. It is certainly not guaranteed and players up against him will have more confidence and test him more. Once you lose that aire of invincibility and opponents have their own increased confidence that makes it a slightly more level playing field.

Didn’t think this was worth replying to it was that out there. The more I thought about it though the more legs it had.

VVD may be returning, no guarantee he will be as good as he was on top of they was already shipping goals before his injury. Salah and Mane leaving in Jan hurts them, Mane being horribly out of form last year hit them hard with Jota being out.

Last year may have been a blip and they might return to form. Losing Gini and up to now doing no business hopefully means a struggle for them. Us and United are guaranteed top 4 I’d say with probably Chelsea. Leaves one spot between Liverpool, Leicester, Spurs, Arsenal etc. I think out of that list the best chance is Leicester finally getting over the line.
I actually think, that unless FSG actually put their hands deep into their pockets (something that I seriously doubt they will do) we will be fighting for 4th, as we did last season, getting lucky with (other) results near the end to sneak 3rd. I see Chelsea being your main challengers this season as Tuchel really has improved them. Still I think with what you already have and adding Jack, City are clear favourites IMO.
AFCON is the real worry, as is Mane not getting his form back. Then again so is lack of squad depth, but then that was the problem the last couple of years.

Fair play to Klopp sticking around if I was him I’d of walked after winning the league can’t see them winning anything else now ageing team with there two best players of to the African nations cup in January!
