For me, the more opposition games that gets cancelled, the better. We'll keep getting the points on the board and before you know it we'll be 10 points clear. They may have 3 games in hand but other than January, there is no free midweek spots to play them. It'll come to April and they'll be playing Saturday, Tuesday, Friday, Monday

FA Cup replays for 3rd and 4th rounds have been scrapped so there’s 2 free midweeks.

UEFA don’t like it but those teams not progressing in Europe can play mid week when UEFA knockout matches are being played.

If two teams with outstanding fixtures to be rearranged are out of the FA Cup those dates can be used.

All adds up to congestion though with little or no mid week rest, the Dippers will definitely play their 27 year old kids (as they like to call their second team squad) in the FA Cup.
