I really hate this idea that supporting Liverpool is somehow more ethical than supporting City. It isn't. As if Liverpool and the rags didn't buy their way to success, as if their overlords aren't corrupt.

I see Klopp is trying to irritate City fans again by going on about how Liverpool are going to annoy the hell out of City.
Well he certainly annoys me. Has done so since he 1st rocked up

He knows his remarks mean nothing but he's not stupid. He's doing it to gain Brownie points with the great unwashed. The cult followers will be singing his praises every time he does it, and it therefor reinforces his standing within the jobless/worthless community that follow that club.

So true. Know your past so you can appreciate how others see you, whether that be good or bad!
For me it was the detail, the glimpse into other clubs and all adding up to show how football, the clubs and the leagues create something greater than the clubs themselves.
Corinthinas, Old Etonians, Club Secretaries...colour of 2nd strip socks!
Of course that was before the internet where you could find information so much more easily and of course before football "really" started with the Prem
Unfortunately nowadays the media write the narrative. A lot of " history " has been rewritten and accepted as truth.

They are still getting decisions to this day based on their "history". They both got investment decades ago giving them a tremendous head start. Then FFP was brought in to hold back Chelsea and City. It's interesting that this has been forgotten by the media and supporters of other clubs. Instead we are accused of cheating FFP. I have seen a lot of critics berating City for the Crystal Palace game but we wouldn't be hearing that if City had a little more luck in that game. Same with the luck and decisions Liverpool have had. Games against City, Villa, Crystal Palace , West Ham and Burnley turned on luck and decisions. Their January run was very easy during Afcon and when they looked in trouble against Crystal Palace, two dodgy decisions bailed them out again. Same with their cup runs, against Leicester, Chelsea, Cardiff more dodgy decisions, giving them momentum and belief. The "dream" would already be over otherwise and the media wouldn't be writing drivel to appeal to the masses.

Looks like 'you'll never walk alone' doesn't apply to Jews, judging by the comments on the club's Twitter post about Purim. Loads of angry Egyptians going on about Palestine even though Purim has sweet fuck all to do with Israel.
