Hate them as I do, it would be easy to talk smack about them, but they schooled us for 2/3 of that game and were unlucky not to win.

They worked harder, faster, and longer than we did and it showed. We have become so used to the pedestrian life of playing attack vs defence that when we come up against a top team that says “OK, let’s put you under pressure and see what you’ve got,” we haven’t seemed to have the answer this season.

We have a great team and some world class individuals, but today we were outworked by about 9 of 11 that couldn’t get a kick at City on a game day!

Everyone talks about this being City’s time of the season, and it has certainly been that way in the past, but is 2024 one year too many? Is the youth and exuberance, plus the extra year of experience, going to push Arsenal beyond us this season? Is Liverpool’s industriousness and “never say die” attitude going to win them an 11th game in added time?

The Arsenal game on 3/31 is going to speak volumes about our desire and ability this season. We have a tough old run-in and we are miles behind last season on this showing.
Just lost too much class tbf... we are a much weaker squad technically but the m'ngt team have dragged this inferior squad to get a point at Anfield and we could have won it... biggest disaster was not going 2 or 3 up v them at home... we have been sh*te when we really needed to be clinical this season..

If he hadn’t got the ball with a side foot, and if MacAllister hadn’t just thrown himself at the challenge, and it had been a bit higher, it would and should have been a penalty.

As it was, I didn’t think it was one, but would probably have moaned if that had been Foden or Grealish getting touched by a high foot.

Oliver is the king of the no call, because it’s the least difficult situation to get out of. In this game, that worked on the yellow cards and the few flashpoints. Given what was at stake, it’s hard to be negative about his performance.

Doku only had eyes in the ball and he got it, McAllister ran into him and the ball, no penalty for me, Salad should’ve been off with all his diving as well.

Scousers fly into feet like flies on a catering electrocution device, every challenge is a penalty and the media scream with them.

Decent reffing today negated their fuckwittery.

Whenever Liverpool fail to win there must be a drama or someone to blame for a lot of their fans.

Whipped up by a compliant media they usually find something.

Today it’s the Doku incident. Debatable penalty to say the least but it will do.
