Liverpool Thread - 2023/24

Neither do I. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he's in the Barca/Madrid hot seat come summer. Maybe even the national team.
I think he will take the national team job as nagelsman contract is up after the euros and anything other than a Germany win on home soil will see him go . Expect klopp to be the Germany manager come September.

In 8 seasons at the club, klopps finished inside the top 2 just 3 times, puts into perspective just how far away from being one of the greats he really is. He's finished below somebody other than Pep in 62.5% of his time there.

The dippers aren't liking this being pointed out to them one bit.
Didn’t know that mate .

If you sperate fact from Scouse fiction, Klopp did OK as regards winning trophies. The thing that saved him was winning the CL, even though Liverpool finish 4th in the PL the season before, and played a poor Spurs team in the final. If Barcelona and Messi hadn’t fucked up at Anfield after being 3-0 up in the 1st leg, Klopp wouldn’t have won the CL. A couple of the other trophies he won were finals that were 0-0 at full-time and Liverpool won the trophies on penalties.

playing with emotion will only take u so far, they will keep up the ridiculous level of fervour but in reality it wont help the players long term, sometimes you have to take emotion out of it or it can affect you negatively and the reality is when that happens klopp has nothing, he doesnt know how to change things and he has never had a plan b, they will burn out same as usual, its telling that they only time they have got over the line in a league season is when there was a massive break in the middle
We only have to remember what happened to us, after Pellers announced that Pep would be coming in at the end of that season

This could go seriously wrong for Littlewoods.

Yes that Barca semi, but if an unfit Kane hadn't made himself available for that final, Spurs might of done better.
Dippers were shite that night but the dodgy penalty in the 1st minute helped their cause no end

Barcelona have a lot to answer for. Losing that lead and overpaying for Coutinho which allowed them to get VD and Allison.

In chronological order, 8th, 4th, 4th, 2nd, 1st (covid) 3rd, 2nd, 5th.

Here's another good little stat, only 3 times has klopp's liverpool finished with more than 76 points.

Another; klopp averages 79 points a season, (pep averages 89 points a season) He's more comparable to Rafael Benitez than Pep who averaged 72 points a season and didn't get to spend world record fees for a defender and goalkeeper or £100 million on keita and chamberlain or £85 million on Nunez.
