I think I covered his rubbish excuses for leaving my in my reply below on another thread ages ago, it was his 2nd or 3rd excuse playing in his favoured position, thought it was hilarious that they had him playing in even worse positions.

I had no issues me with him leaving it was more the way he left then the sly digs that followed shortly after, also charging the reason for his departure every other month it's almost skewed the truth for most.

Without all that I'd thoroughly respect Milner a lot more he always seemed like a model pro, he lacked class when leaving though but the funny thing is I think Pep would've got the best out of him.

Milner could've had the best spell of his career under Pep I reckon, as Pep can't get enough of great all round grafters like Milner who can pass the ball well.
Can’t disagree with your summation. Maybe he just wanted a big pay day too and better write ups in the press!

Milner had played 203 games in 5 years at City & played 214 in his first 5 at the Dippers.

Like all the stories when the Dippers are involved, they tend to be bullshit.

James Milner is an absolute irrelevance!

Even United fans aren't arsed about the boring twat and he has played for the 3 teams they despise the most, and won the lot! Leeds, City (won 2 leagues, FA cup and 2 league cups), Liverpool (Won a League, League cup and Champions League)!

Yet Balotelli boils everyone's piss and is a legend!

Fuck off Milner you sensible ****!

There was similar in 2001 when houllier won "5" trophies, charity shield, fa cup, league cup, UEFA cup and the super cup.
At least when we won the domestic treble, we had the good grace to call it a domestic treble rather than just a treble. What are they going to call theirs?

The diet treble?
The treble light?
I can’t believe it’s not a treble?

What a fucking twat Spit the Scouse is.

Complaining about the Arse celebrating a victory? I bet if the boot was on the other foot, and Littlewoods had won, we wouldn’t have heard a murmur from him about celebrations.
You mean like this when the game is still on?

He's right, but Notts Forest FFS!

Minor point incidentally, but they hate it when people call them Notts Forest. It's Notts County and Nottingham Forest. You might say that's a good reason for winding them up.
But I sort of understand them — for years it used to drive me round the bend when French journalists on radio and television would lazily talk about “Manchester” when they meant United! That of course filtered down to ordinary followers of football who knew no better. Now they've just changed camp with their laziness — we're “Manchester”! (Which is true, actually, but since absolutely nobody refers to either club like that, least of all their/our supporters, it's sheer ignorance).

I still say, and will continue to say, that that was the more difficult treble to do. Quite staggering how we didn't get the proper credit for it. Oh, and with our best player out for a large part of that season, too.
