Or, as they might have done, bid silly money, keep their fingers crossed that it's not accepted then tell their delusional fans that Money bags/ cheating Chelsea stole him with brown envelopes. Fans happy/lap it up, money still in American pockets, job done.

Is this a Clarkie? Their defence is fucking shite and will be well exposed. Mac Allister has limitations and the Sboirzlia is not proven. They won’t blow many teams away.

Alternatively, who actually gives a fuck, the victims will be moaning that they are unable to compete in the transfer market (despite already potentially spending £180m ) due to all the jealous small-time clubs in the PL ganging up against them.

And it won't be fair obviously, as they are European Royalty, and every player they want should consider themselves lucky and be grateful for being so lucky.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving set of cunts.
