Liverpool Thread | 2024/25

Have to be honest, I thought they'd be in for a period of transition after losing the greatest manager ever to have graced the English game. But they're not missing him at all.
Maybe he was not the GOAT that they seemed desperate to believe he was;-)

I've posted before about their utter desperation to convince themselves that we don't matter to them (they just lie to themselves), but the reality is that we are in their heads 24/7 - the rawk thread is going to be great fun once the announcement on the charges comes out.

Meanwhile here is a further example of how they go to such lengths to write stuff that clearly evidences that we really do matter to them. They are sooo desperate for us to be destroyed and actually spend considerable time thinking these things up:

"The dream scenario would be that they have to enter the EFL in Division 2. I don't think it will happen but the level and depth of cheating they have been at deserves something like this to happen.

I don't think that the EFL have thought about the scenario when a club found cheating is expelled from the EPL. Maybe it's time they did a review of their rules in order to prevent City having a completely unfair advantage. All existing sponsorship deals should be null and void to force them to start from ground zero again. Any sponsorship should then be at fair market rates for the respective divisions. City should have to sell their squad and replace them with much lower earners in order to meet PSR. Hopefully there are no loopholes that they can use. Their financial advantages would suddenly disappear and they might find it harder than expected to climb back up. They would have much less revenue coming in and that would have a big impact on their squad. In effect if City entered Division 2 then they should do so with no legacy advantages gained through cheating. It would be a very interesting scenario even though the chances of it happening are very low."

Maybe he just wasn't as good as the cult and the media brainwashed people to believe

I’d hazard a guess they haven’t offered Salah a new deal or opened talks as they may be hoping for a large bid from Saudi.
I know that Saudi football has money to burn, but surely none of the teams is going to offer stupid money for a player, who is out of contract in the summer, are they?

Did this fella have a hand in the Versailles Treaty by any chance ? That went well....

Klopp was a larger than life character, but a mediocre manager. His 'style' (for want of a better description) was hoofball with ribbons.
Saha is a goalscorer, he has that instinct Shearer used to have - we used to call them poachers (except if they scored against City then I used other words to describe them). So any team with him up front will score goals.

I don't think Klopp was bad, I just didn't buy into the hype that was inevitably going to surround him once his appointment was announced.
