I just can’t imagine, as a fan, leaving the club I support/love on a free when I’m ‘worth’ around £75m in the current market.

But you’re probably right. Loyalty doesn’t mean particularly much nowadays and Madrid are still a massive pull for players.

Obviously enough of a pull to fuck ‘his’ club over for.

Genius business by the dippers if true. He's one dimensional, can't defend and is probably in decline. If they can get 'galactico' money for him and buy 2-3 good young players they've done well.

This would be like Foden leaving us on a free. "Trent" will probably do well at Madrid - they have some quick players who can chase his lofted balls.
