The same old story with Liverpool. How many times have we read about them breaking all the records, winning quadruple's or trebles before ending up with fuck all?!

It doesn't matter how good you are at this stage. The number of games take their toll come March-May. The intensity of the competition and the pressure rises in the knockouts. You can guarantee there will be teams that look like they're struggling now who find a system and way of winning when it gets to that stage. I don't think City will be competing in the latter stages unless we have a big January, but you can't start handing out prizes at this stage of the season. An injury to Van Dijk or Salah and the dippers will be in big trouble.
 
Things going well for them at the moment, even if the performances don't always justify their results (to be fair, they were better than us in our game so no complaints regarding that particular game). However, while I think we may miss out on the title this season, I can honestly see Chelsea reeling them in.

I can’t lie, Slot has impressed me. I thought the gurner going would impact them, but it hasn't (not yet, at least). And they're playing better football now; the "heavy metal" stuff seems to have been binned. Also, he seems a decent enough fella. Maybe when he's been there a couple of years, he'll become properly scouse and turn into a tw@.

Corporate do's in a church! Now, I'm not a religious man (surviving a cardiac arrest can do that to a person) and I don't remember much from my church upbringing in Rusholme, but I do remember the story of Jesus running through the market saying ' not in my fathers house'. I'm referring to the 5 course dinner and alcohol not the drug taking, of course. Candles would have been a nice touch, though.

I watched as they panned through the stands. Ironic as dozens had probably just stolen a dozen parts from parked cars in the adjacent lots as they were settling in to hear their theme.
