Scousers trending on X and apparently it’s another anniversary today of their fans actions:

9th of February 1986:

Scousers attacked the United team entering the stadium with ammonia being sprayed on them.

Clayton Blackmore was the worst affected player

A 12 year old boy had to be hospitalised & 22 fans were affected (mostly children)
Chelsea fans.......

I mean they are still on for a record points total, topped the CL group, and have reached a league cup final, so I don't think it's just Arsenal or that they have got lucky!
Been lucky that we've had this season off and they've had no big injury worries to key players. Forget bottlers Arsenal they'd had no one else pushing them. Don't worry normal service will be resumed next season after our reset.

I’d forgotten all about that incident.

Remind me, how much did they get fined and how many games did they have to play behind closed doors after that attack?

If that happened now, City would still somehow end up issuing a joint apology.

Bloody Chelsea fans.

Off course they were. But I'd say they won't be too upset about it as I think the league is their No1 target. It's been proved over the course of English top flight football that it's actually harder to win the domestic treble than the Eurpoean one - as only 1 team has ever done it!!!
And who might that be?

Was honestly shitting myself that they'd do a quad while beating 100 so nice to protect that.
We really need them to drop 2 points. Be rather marvellous if we were the team to do it them. ( I post in wistful hope rather than expectation). Some flecking team, anyone, anywhere in the PL please just ruddy do it and take a minimum of 2 points off them. I think they also have a good chance of the Champs League, it's practically a given they will win the Carabao, so the only thing we can gain is them not getting the pl ton.

3 hours ago you'd have said they were strong favourites for the FA cup.

I think Newcastle will want the Carabao more, first silverware in 55 years

Faulty logic there. Teams naturally prioritise the more lucrative champions league above the League Cup and FA Cup hence why it's only been done by one Team. It's not as difficult to win the League Cup as it is to win the Champions League.

Their record at Etihad is almost as poor as ours at Klanfield.

Question is though mate will they be 'allowed ' to win. Look what happened v Rags two years ago. Its the Yankee red sox team ( all that is seen as GOOD) vs a filthy lucre oil team ( all that is seen as BAD). So whilst I would absolutely love a Barcodes victory, I'll do a park run if that happens. Got Dips name on it for record breaking 11th time unfortunately.
