450k a week apparently

There goes the wage bill
I heard it was £635k a week.

I've made it up but that's literally how all these rumours start and the unusual figure makes it more plausible, if we all just accept it as a fact, we can will it into the truth, that's how it works for the dippers.

Full on “party time” on the BBC but not much mention of ruining football and greed in relation to the £450k per week.

anything over £200k a week for a 33-year-old is daft and crazy, 2 seasons ago they could have got £200million for him and off the wage bill, Reports of £450k a week are mind-blowing because he does not win games for them like he used to,

KDB did the right thing for him and the club to leave this summer, Kevin started to dip last season and the injuries took months to heel, the truth is the hard yards in training can not be made anymore, KDB is not a bit part player happy to sit on the bench and take his wages, Mo Salah will happily sit on the bench signing that sort of deal for 2 years

False alarm .
They have signed his replacement “ No Salad”

Salah will be 33 in june and Virgil will be 34 , could be great news that they have signed.

In the rigours of the modern game hanging on to ageing talent can be costly - as we are learning ourselves. The number of games played by a top flight player domestically and internationally is brutal and is totally reliant on staying fit - a big injury can be a disaster ( ask Kev ) as the pressure to return and be the player you were must be immense

It's either an admission that they have no viable plans to replace them, or just a bit of good news for the cult to cushion the blow of taa fucking them off.

True, however I still think a move there will be on the cards for him. Makes too much sense
not for any significant amount of money, those saudi deals arent flying anymore, even with ronaldo etc they just arent getting people through the doors for the games and its not viable

I hate to say it but both VVD and Salah are far more important for them, than Trent who gets cooked by every single winger. Trent is easily replaceable for them and that Bradely lad is already good. Salah would've been impossible to replace for them just look at Mahrez

you're underestimating twents ability to create chance for salah, yeah he is shite defensively but he has created more than double the amount of chances than anyone else for him

Huge risk for me with is age , same goes with van Dick, big wages , and with their performances Liverpool almost forced into keeping them.

Good point which is often overlooked. His defensive frailties are exposed on a regular basis but his forward passing ability is up there with the best. While the dippers aging Virgil may get more protection next season Salah will suffer a reduction in quality ball. This will affect his performances.

With respect to the deal it is a good one for them, they will get the outlay on wages back next June if they need to. If he does well he may keep them top of the league or ahead of us at least the way things are looking.
