Another 400k a week for VVD. Are they gonna stop with with the talks that they are broke and working with scraps competing against giants ? How many team can afford paying 400k a week to a player ???
According to one of them at work (I know) we’re paying Erling £850k a week!

2 titles in 35 years is paying for it.... obviously
Coutinho money remember!

I can understand why Liverpool were stuck between a rock and a hard place on Salah and VVD but I think it’s reactionary. Salah’s form fell off after his last renewal. He’ll be 33 at the start of next season and his age is going to impact him soon enough. Van Dijk will be 34 at the start of next season and is already not quite the same player despite the hype.

Liverpool have tied up a lot of money in wages for 2 players that will very likely decline over the next 2 seasons.

I expect Liverpool to start next season reasonably well and there will be lots of talk of how great it is to have those 2 but this season was an anomaly in terms of ourselves and Arsenal.

I think it will be much harder for Liverpool next season and should they fail to win the league next season they won’t have much headroom to add to the squad until the 2 lads move on.

Van Dijk is 34 this summer; Salah is 33. Liverpool are trying to stave off father time but he always wins; Van Dijk has become noticeably more susceptible this season - PSG often cut him to pieces - and he isnt going to get any quicker anytime soon.

With Robertson over 30 and TAA also gone there's a sizeable rebuild needed soon at Anfield so talks of any period of dominance by the sheep/cult that follow them are quite fanciful.

Easy to knock the Salah renewal due to his age, but let’s not pretend this has been one of, if not, the best season whilst at Liverpool. Even when playing poorly this season he seems to spawn a goal and a couple of assists.

Hope his form doesn’t continue into the next season but even if it drops off a bit they’ve still got a decent player there - who could they buy that’s prem proven and will bag them 20+ goals?

If he was reffed the same way as every other player in the league he’d have been sent off about 5 times!

The way Madrid play and with there type of individuals Klopp is the perfect manager but they front men have to press like fuck
Vinicius too lazy for that IMO, I can well see him being fecked off to Saudi this summer

Probably all happening whilst the man who spits at children when he's angry (but somehow doesn't seem to have to regret his actions nor does he need to reform his character in any way) chats shit to an audience of Sky viewers (for every liverpool game) about how it was an accidental elbow, or that the defender made the most of a brush across his head and went down easy.

They can have the title, but just like the last time (only time) they've won it before there have been a very high number of very dubious refereeing decisions in their favour along the way.

"Yeah, but what about Rodri's handball!" ;)
" History " can be very confusing. To justify the decisions they get every game they have to go back a few seasons to show how City get all the decisions. Even then it was the correct decision.
