Probably, but I think there was a level of respect for the quality of the football. This season, there's a feeling amongst all (even some Liverpool fans) that it's been a poor season in terms of quality. Fair play to them, you can only beat what's in front of you, and they've been the most consistent team and deserve the title, but it's not been a classic. In ten years time, Liverpool fans will still remember Klopp's losing teams more fondly than this one, because they played better football. The Klopp teams that finished runners up to us would hammer this current side.
Good post, that. I've said to Liverpool fans at work that the team with Mane and Henderson (yes, seriously) was a better side than this one. They've been functional, not "out of your seat" brilliant. But credit to Slot; winning the title in his first season has to be acknowledged as a very good achievement. It's not his fault that us, Chelsea and Arsenal haven't been as consistent as them this season. From memory, the view last August was that this would be a season of transition for the dips.

I’ve said it all season - the closest to this year is the Leicester one where everyone was shite and they just happened to be the least shite.

Yeah but that wont stop them setting fire to their own town hall again come giro day when the celebrations kick off.

Liverpool are worthy champions as are anybody who wins the toughest league in the world. The pundits hailing Slot as some sort of miracle worker though is absolutely ridiculous. They finished third last season and have taken advantage of injuries and burn out by ourselves and Arsenal. Pellegrini's first season here was much better, taking a team in disarray and winning two trophies but I think they gave the manager of the year to Tony Pullis lol.

SKY TV CONFIRMS ALL 854 CHANNELS WILL SHOW LIVERPOOL WINNING THE LEAGUE TITLE ON SUNDAY

A spokesperson for Sky TV has confirmed that normal programming will be suspended across their entire network of 854 channels on Sunday to ensure that as many people as possible watch Liverpool take on Tottenham Hotspur and probably win the league title.

In a further development, all of the company’s customer service call centres will be closed so that staff can travel all over the UK and make sure that households don’t just switch their TV off and do something else.

He added, ‘Our coverage of the match on Sky Sports will be innovative and enthralling, including using AI to have eighteen Jamie Carraghers in the studio offering unique perspectives and opinions on the match.’

‘We’ll be there with 87 separate cameras all recording in 64K digital 4D crikeyvision to catch every single moment of the action, including PGMOL getting their winners medals.’

Anyone got a Pelligrini gif dropping the Mike or saying "hold my beer"? cos we're gonna get the ..." he's the first to do it in his first season" shite...

And he won the league cup too - but still lost out to Pulis (I think) winning manager of the year.
Jose returns the following season to Chelsea, wins exactly the same, and is MOTY

Congrats to them. Even if this league has been gash, they have been the best of a gash lot.

I still despise them. Still think their fans are big headed gimps. Still think the media falls all over them. Still think the decisions they get are incredible. Still think PSG kicked their arses. But fair play, they are the champions. Get used to it as we will never hear then end of it until someone else wins it.

Their fans have a right to celebrate. However, we all know they do things to the extreme. This will be the greatest ever league win, just as they have the greatest players in every position. The TV pundits (most of whom are ex Liverpool players) Will go on and on about how incredible they have been, how tough it has been for them, how they have destroyed teams blah blah blah. Their fans will not just accept celebrating a league title. They have a need to be praised. They have a need to rub it in, to show their victory is the greatest one. This is the fan base that requested that their victory parade went past the new Everton stadium? I mean, what is that all about? And, don't forget, they have spent no money, and the refs are against them....almost laughable.

The city centre was full of them today. All waiting for the celebrations tomorrow. Some of the strangest Scouse accents ever are wearing LFC shirts. It will get worse over the next few days. Hopefully they behave, but history says otherwise.

At 4.30pm their game will kick off and the media circus will begin. Luckily, I will be watching the City game.

Just went onto the BBC football website to see what the scores were yesterday. Genuinely thought it was one of those weekends with no games, because Liverpool's possibility of winning the title at Anfield was still the top story from a day earlier. Fuck me.

I give up....

BBC Radio 5 Live commentary Scouse v Spuds in a meaningless game outside miseryside... I suppose it would be good if spuds were to turn up and beat them...

Forest v City in the semi-final of worlds oldest and most famous cup competition relegated to 5 live extra

The least interesting premiership to date... apart from the covid season?

Last time they won it. Didn't realise they were only 1 point away from 100:
