I think he's on the wind up now as he mentioned seeing Beckham & then Ronaldo move as his earliest memories of Madrid. Liverpool fans taking it well...

I must admit it's quite good for once seeing an English football willing to learn the language of the country they are moving to.

Quite impressive that from Trent.
It’s not really that impressive, with the spare time players have and young and agile minds it’s not a big ask to learn a second language.

Edin Dzeko speaks 5 languages, Ya Ya I think 5 or 6. Most kids in Europe learn English as a second language.

My mate started to learn Spanish in his 50’s, he’s fluent in the spoken word but also passed an A Level in the written word, there’s a lot of nuances (like many languages) but it was impressive, all completed within 2 years.

Most English footballers struggle with their native tongue

I have and always will maintain that scousers are a different species, you just cannot reason with the level of stupidity and delusion they hold, i have never in my life met a group of people who collectively have so little self awareness.
That's why so many are just unfunny - this scouse humour is a myth really. Humour requires self awareness ...also in general the lack of awareness is mind boggling. In a taxi there recently - can i pay card, ohh prefer cash like, we scousers don't like paying taxes! Couldn't get a more Thatcherite response from someone who proceeds to say ''oh we stick together us scousers'' etc..sticking together with an'im alright jack, f uck you attitude'' proper mental..didnt get irony

He's done a decent job, but the English press throw the word 'fluent' around way too easily. Anyone who can string a few sentences together in a setting where they've already been given all the questions is considered fluent, judged no doubt by a bunch of journalists who speak no Spanish themselves.

But don't underestimate how difficult it is to speak in public in a foreign language for the first time, so fair play to him.

Aye, when you watch comedians from Glasgow, Birmingham, London, Bristol, Wales, Yorkshire, etc, they will take the piss out of their home town all the time. I've never seen a Scouse comedian taking the piss out of Liverpool.

Can I just check if you’ve included English in Yaya’s vocab.

The scousers are not taking this well at all

Perfect Spanish. He’s had this planned for a long time, that’s clear to see. Fucked the club over big time.

Surely you are not surprised. He'll never be welcomed back. Fucking rat

More media duties and talking for Real than he did as our vice captain last year.

Actually happy he's gone.

I hope we give him the Sterling treament x10 next season. I'm not even sure he will travel for the game might just stay in Spain.

It’s because they’ve no idea what it’s like, given that they fuck off at the first available opportunity…

I see they've agreed a fee for Wirtz. I'm confused, though (what do you mean, "what's new?"). I thought it was only us who spent money?
Just add him to the squad with a 80 million defender, 86 million striker, 65 million keeper, 60 million midfielder and countless other 30-50 million players.
116 million inc add ons.
Guess add ons = get teeth done, turn cultish, state boyhood Dipper fan and learn how to dive
