Glad we aren't in it but it needs our stardust to make it relevant.

Nobody needs their brand of "Stardust".

Just saw kerkezs interview with his dad, they sound DESPERATE to join liverpool. What kind of inhaler deal is liverpool doing to these players who is desperate to join them suddenly.
Oh you mean similar to the interviews that ait - nori, reijnders and cherki did about being desperate to join us, ALL players do those interviews when the move is imminent, cunha did it to the rags, those players did it for us, delap did it for chelsea and so and so forth, the dippers arent special

Spot on mate

Typical delusion and lying to themselves over on rawk - so many posters queuing up to shout how glad they are not involved and that it will fuck up the 2025/26 season for CITY and Chelsea. They are also saying that they don't even know anything about the competition and certainly won't be watching - yet there are then load of posts saying how shit certain games are.

They really are butt-hurt and then have to demean the competition to make themselves feel better. This is a typical post, they need to make it about them:

butt hurt? Yo dude.

I think majority of City fans would prefer not to be in the comp, have a good summer off and a proper pre season?

They couldn’t wait to tell us they were World Champions when they had the opportunity though !!!

looks like Robertson is on way to athletico madrid
Maybe wishful thinking but when they have Frimpong and kerkez at full backs there’s nothing to say they are as good
Long term upgrades I would say. Everybody battered Trent whilst he was there for his defending. Robertson is 31. His replacement is 21. Might not be immediate upgrades but both players are already really good players with the potential to get even better with age. They are having a good window sadly.

I always thought if Robertson could have channeled his anger into his playing he would have been a lot better. He was the type of player who thought thuggery was a skill and so developed that side of his game rather that actually playing.
I'd see him on MotD or whatever and watch him go in two-footed when there was no need. Sometimes the ball was going harmlessly out of play and he'd still want to kick fuck out of someone.
If he hadn't been a dipper he'd have been sent off every other game.

You could tell by his eyes that he meant most of the fouls to hurt/injure - like when he pushed Walker into the hoardings and then laughed in his face. Another soft arse that hid behind the officials and wouldn't last five minutes if it happened out on the car-park.

Frimpong, Kerkez and Wirtz are unfortunately big upgrades to an already superb team

they may have won the title but i have to disagree with you that they are a superb team, they are a good team that get alot go for them.

Doing them dirty there a bit mate, they have been a pain for a few years now but this summer are trying to make sure they stay at the top?

im not doing them dirty at all, i have said they are a very good team but a superb team absolutely not, they took advantage of basically the rest of the prem having a season off and absolutely no injuries at all, teams that get 100 points etc are superb teams , teams that win the title with the second lowest points total after leicester are good teams, if they win back to back titles they will be very good, if they win three in a row they will be excellent, if they win four in a row and chuck in a treble along the way they will be in the conversation for being superb

I know it is the thing that no team is allowed any plaudits, it happens to us and our success is rarely celebrated outside of City, but to win titles you need things go for you at times. My only criticism is how they switch off once won but if they have won it there isn't much issue really. Good team, good players, good manager with improvements being brought in. It should spur us on if anything

Its nothing to do with not giving them plaudits, i have said they are a good team ,i dont agree that they are a superb team and there is nothing that they have done so far that would make me change that opinion, plaudits are handed out too easily these days based on a small body of evidence and overhype by the press.

I certainly would.

The entire squad is burnt out, both mentally and physically, and desperately need a good break from the constant pressure and grind of competing at the highest level.

He was still a good full back through. The amount of chances he created is something we need at city from our full backs. Say what you want about him and Trent, especially the latter in terms of defending, they created a lot. I actually think Liverpool are going to miss them.

Robertson played like a thug and he wouldn't get away with it for other clubs, but I think the way he played also helped them. His aggressive play could single handedly get the kop going and it's a very hard place to go when the kop is rocking, as any manager like Pep will tell you.

Wirtz is. Not convinced Frimpong and Kerkez are but time will tell.

On the flip side they relied on Salah having a miracle season last time. Will he maintain that level at his age? Also there's AFCON this season as well.
