Then you shouldn’t be giving it the Billy Big Bollocks about his City credentials.

What is this wild west type shit? How the fuck is anyone to know his username was supposed to speak for itself? Give over ffs lol

And yes I will give it about his city credentials. Who the fuck who isnt a kid (which he isnt) can say they're not used to rival clubs having better managers? If he was a long term fan, he'd have spent most of his time seeing city under lesser managers. So he cant pull "oh im just used to pep after so long". Peps time would likely be the minority of his time as fan.

Who honestly cares about not scoring goals in some cup finals? Getting hands on a trophy is all that matters. No one here would care if City won both cups this season on penalties after a bore draw.
Your're making a comment about how great a team they supposedly were. Not scoring in both the cup finals they won in 2922 is hardly an endorsement of that

They were a great team. Nothing supposedly about it. Klopps Liverpool, specifically 2018-2022 was one the best in the world at the time, and one of best ever in the PL. They were amazing, dont try and play down how world class they were. Anyone whos actually serious about football and not petty agendas isn't going to care because they didn't score in a couple of games. Wise up mate.

And those who play down how good Liverpool were then are diminishing how good we were too in a way because one of the great things about Cty is we were even better than that Liverpool team.

It's one of the things that winds me up. You see it in boxing all the time, when a fighter loses, they're suddenly overhyped. No, often it's just a fantastic fighter that lost to an exceptional one, that's it. Once you start calling one a hype job and overrated, then how can the the winner be great if they're only beating supposedly overrated people?

Same applies into football

Some of our fans simply can't bring themselves to admit that dipper team were fucking brilliant and would rather diminish our own achievements in turn.

That's what I implied with this:

'They're a fucking weird club but if you think of them as a formidable opponent, it only strengthens the greatness of Pep's City.'

Alonso was there for the taking not even a month ago. Baffled as to why they didn't sack slot earlier and bring him in.
Great post. I like Alonso, he done well in Germany but got caught up with bullshite in Madrid. Chelsea have a mish mash of good players so maybe he can work his magic there.

I dunno what's more surprising, Slot winning a title in his first season, or being fired at the end of his second.

With the amount they spent I really thought they would be 90pts+ this season. It's been a dodgy season for them.

Wirtz and Isak, costing nearly quarter of a billion quid between them, will have to prove their worth too.

Great post and completely agree. Hated (and always will) those bastards but they put out some incredible sides.

The year after the centurion season when we finished on 98 (?) points and still only won the league by a single point is mad when you think about it objectively. Drop either of those teams in the league the past two seasons and they would've had it won by March.

Again - fuck them, and I wish them nothing but suffering, but those peak Klopp sides were clearly brilliant. That's part of what made those years so enjoyable - not only the brilliance of Pep ball and winning everything, but consistently getting one up on a very talented foe.

Everybody fawning over iriola at Bournemouth like hes the second coming, yes he has the potential to be good but he also has the exact same potential to do a thomas frank at spurs, its a complete 50/50 shot.

Never understand City fans trying to talk that Liverpool side down. They were clearly an incredible side. The stats bear it out completely. It’s just they weren’t as incredible as us.
