Your point about VAR is correct, as it is the implementation and application of the technology which is the real problem and hence the genuine reasons for concern.
PiGMOL are in charge of the referees and VAR assistants, including the training and guidance for their staff, and despite having access to this array of technology, still manage to arrive at decisions which have little or no logical explanations. Crystal Palace goalkeeper handball incident in the Cup Final being just one such incident.
If Webb is the sole arbiter of the "integrity and competence" of the referees, then I can understand the sceptism regarding the honesty and integrity of a number of their decisions made.
The Police investigating the police appears to be a reasonable thought when defending the oft indefensible decisions his staff arrive at. Trust and confidence in the integrity of Webb is another topic entirely.
But the PL and PGMOL are a combined unit for the purpose of officiating and that is a major concern for a number of supporters.
Sorry, back on topic, and dippers would never consider anything which is not favourable to LFC , as moronic twats and imbeciles.

They (Liverpool) 100% know what they are doing, asking all the media outlets to put the pressure on and highlight it to the highest levels so Liverpool will get the rest of this season's close VAR decisions in their favour, 100% they will get every close call going for them, even goals that should be crossed off will stand or not even checked
