I have mixed views on Kerkez - he looks to have the ability but I believe he's playing at full tilt at the moment, i.e. no extra level to go up to, that would have been OK for Bournemouth in the PL, but for liverpool in Europe maybe not. He reminds me a bit of Angelino in that respect.

Depends what Slot wants tactically. If it's mostly pace and tenacity, that'll be a pick up for the XI as Robertson is declining there.

Yet to see how this pans out.

On paper, though, Liverpool appear to have a much better squad for the 2025-2026 season.

A cessation in hostilities.
Awful, devastating news. RIP. Talk about perspective.
Talk about persepctive...That is exactly my thoughts on this.

I was over on business and had just parked up in Sheffield when I heard the news on the radio. Stunned/shocked, all those usual words but it was amazing how fans of other clubs showed their sympathies and grief.
Obviously I support the team and have watched Diogo numerous times but had never met him, yet I still felt myself getting upset.
It was a comment from someone on the radio about, no matter how we felt about it, imagine what it must be like for his mother, losing 2 children in such a horrible sudden manner. It was that which put this in to perspective for me.
All life, all deaths, no matter whether through horrible accidents or through design in the case of many issues around the world, have to be felt by us all.
Even more so when I headed "home" to stay with my 87yr old mother, we take things for granted and it is events like this that show how we need to appreciate our family, friends and others, as we don't know when they will be gone.

Just a quarter (27%) of Liverpool fans are based in the North West – while three-quarters (73%) live outside the region.1 Feb 2024

I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that when we played them at Wembley, only 7000 of their support that day had a Merseyslime postcodes ….
