The thing that strikes me is how absurd is it that the game isn't cancelled when a team coach gets freely bombarded with over 200 objects (counted hits from the video), including flares thrown underneath the coach, including much video evidence of liverpool fans climbing on police vans and throwing objects (resulting in 0 arrests, or no attempts to move the crowd back, or even off the police vans) that caused serious mental anguish to many City people (reflected in the game) and (minor issue in comparison) made the coach undriveable, but it's continued when a little Britain character is a **** to a player.

The thing that strikes me is how absurd is it that the game isn't stopped when a young female fan gets a face full of coins that caused a serios injury but it's stopped when a little Britain character is a **** to a player.
Agreed. All incidents should be brought to the officials attention and dealt with immediately.

@Gordyola you bolded only one word. Supporters association, FSA or perhaps a supporters group like S.O.S.

Those statements would generally be released to/via the media.

Person A is accused. Several bystanders hear announcement over PA system in regards to incident. Person A is approached, none of the bystanders claim Person A is not the offender. In fact, reports are of the opposite.

Compare that to Suarez, who was found guilty, in a case of one mans word against another. Racism is a crime, no police charges were brought, why is that? Lack of evidence?

One is a criminal case to be decided by the justice system. One is not.

So person A racially abuses person B but because it isn’t witnessed and no charges are brought no crime has been committed? FFS.

For those that, in my opinion, do not understand.

An alleged offender is innocent until PROVEN guilty. That goes for any crime.

Any criminal case must not be prejudiced by the media. An alleged offender must be given the right to a fair trial.

Having a rant at the media, a group of people or myself, due to this, is slightly bonkers.

If the club or supporters association declare the person an abhorrent racist, people on here would be satisfied! Until the person walks free from court, with an absolute discharge, due to that statement.
You're missing the point Slotter.

The issue that I personally have with the media is not about whether they use the word "alleged" or not.

It has everything to do with which fanbase they choose to call out and which club it chooses to protect.

I'll give you an example: this opening weekend of football there has seen two incidents of "alleged" racism. Two people have been arrested.

This is how the media reported both incidents.

"A Luton fan has been arrested for alleged racist abuse following the game against Bradford"

"A spectator has been arrested for alleged racist abuse following the game between Liverpool and Bournemouth"

Can you see the difference?

The game between Luton v Bradford it was obvious that it was a Luton fan that was arrested.

The game between Liverpool and Bournemouth could be open to interpretation if you didn't see the incident.

It's the protecting that your Club and fanbase enjoy from the media that gets our backs up.

Or.....
Person a (a dipper player) racially abuses person b but because 11 dipper players wear a t shirt with his face on it no charges are brought and no crime has been committed ?

On the Liverpool fan arrested for racial abuse. Apparently from fans who sit near him he is a nasty piece of work, who is always hurling abuse and chewing gum at players and has been doing so for years. Lots are saying they are relieved he has now been dealt with and they hope he is banned. If true then it's indicative of Liverpool and their fans turning a blind eye to criminal and thuggish behaviour from one of their own. Everybody knew he did it but it took a brave player to actually get something done about it.
Can I just clarify?

Have the media actually used the phrase "Liverpool fan arrested for racial abuse"

I ask this because, all I've seen and heard from the media is a 'spectator' has been arrested for racial abuse following the game between Liverpool and Bournemouth.

That is an absolute minefield. I would say just use the word spectator.

I am not foolish enough to go there.

*except when incidents (pint coin pot, coach etc) occur that cause physical and mental damage to opposition players, staff and fans , that are entirely caused by Liverpool fans, that have no consequences for Liverpool fans, because they never call themselves out, nor get investigated, nor minutely dissected by the media, nor take responsibility for…

AKA ashamed of nothing.

The police said the arrested man "had a Liverpool address" which clearly reduces the chanches of him being a LFC fan! No doubt they will blame it on Everton fans. Perhaps the same ones who left Hillsborough graffiti referring to "Kopites" in the Anfield Road end which City fans were blamed for.

You're a rum bugger Bobby.

You're worse than me.

It's amazing how elusive those dipper fans can be when it comes to pinning any form of blame onto them.

lol. Do you have evidence of a definite racist incident?

You have complained numerous times about sky and their approach to things.

Now you want them to cover the incident as a definite crime? It is alleged, if proven the culprit(s) need(s) banning for life, no doubt.

With every unproven story on the news/tv they say alleged, unless they want a court case.
Tom Adeyemi the young Oldham defender left in tears after racist abuse at Anfield.

I’ve never ever heard a City fan refer to them as ‘Kopites’… no way was that City fans
