Add to that, the players' that your club have now got at your disposal. There's a lot more competition for Slot to contend with this season.

Don't get me wrong, I'm neither arrogant or naive enough to think that MCFC have a devine right to win anything. However, my hope for this season is that Slot is at least, made to work for it this time around.
Hey mate maybe I read your post wrong but do you think I'm a Liverpool fan? I'm a Gooner, just to be clear mate.

There isn't much difference to be fair....

Yes, I know.

That's what I meant when I said that you've got players at your disposal. I'll be very surprised if you don't take all three points off Liverpool at the Emirates.

The point that I was trying to make is, hopefully Slot won't have it all his own way this season.

Sorry for any mix up, the last thing I would do is accuse you of being a Liverpool fan.

Although, it could have been worse, I might have mistaken you for a rag.

Ah fair enough. Yeah I'm confident we're not a worse squad than Liverpool. I'm less confident about Arteta's mindset and ability to remove the handbrake though. Let's see what happens, the pressure is on.

The fkrs winning their first 3 and now Isak.
Means they just need 30 wins and a draw from 35 to get 100pts
I really hope they ain’t set up to equal the 4 in a row now
The big fear is they’ve learnt by example of our failure to add quality to our squad after the treble (and arguably before that) and they’ll just add one or two top signings each year or so and keep up the level of the squad for many years making it very hard for anyone to knock them off the perch!

There's absolutely no reason why you can't match Liverpool this season. Apart from the obvious one, which is the help they're going to get from Howard Webb and PiGMOL (I don't know your views on the corruption theory).

As you've already alluded to, the biggest challenge you've got as a club and a fanbase and as a team is your mindset.

It's a bitch getting over that line. I remember when we were trying to break into the top four for the first time in 2010, and your arch rivals beat us to it.

The issue Arteta has got, is that he's been runner up for three years in a row. If he's going to make it to the holy grail this season is as good a time to do it as any.

Not sure they have the fire power to be honest. With Saka seemingly now injury prone and and Odegaard struggling for form not sure they can stay the distance with Liverpool. It’s Liverpool’s to lose in my opinion. It’s a shame because this is probably Arsenal’s best squad for a number of years and, here comes Liverpool with an even better squad. They could win the lot if they want it!

So can someone just confirm this for me please?!…It would seem that spending £450m in one window,is absolutely nothing less than expected, for a team that’s just won its 2nd PL title in 5yrs!?..They’ve earnt that honest prize money, and they’ve got every right to spend it where, and as they wish!?…ok then…need I carry on ffs!!It’s truly pathetic and nauseating and not that far removed from North Korea really?!…spoonfed bullshit daily… SAD.

Threads like this show up some absolute pussies amongst our support.

Thank fuck some of you weren’t here in the 80’s and 90’s!!!
I've been here watching since 1966. I remember 'Pussy Galore' the first time around!
I call it as I see it. It's all about opinions and all that matters is mine

You could also say two top flight titles in 34 years

As a long time Liverpool fan (first game in 1960) I was surprised that Slot took an axe to a team that had just won the league. Looking at the 3 games played so far the team has looked unbalanced and very suspect to teams playing on the break. We won't get away with it every game. As for Isak I am more disappointed that we didn't sign Guehi. Don't need Isak and to be honest didn't like the way he behaved by going on strike. On paper Liverpool look a good bet for the league but as has been said many times football isn't played on paper

It's a culmination of many things all this 'Dippers-will-win-everything-everywhere' stuff that has been going on. It's down to the proven fact that:
A) the media in this country are afraid of upsetting the scousers so will run with any story that paints them in a good light.
B) The astonishing amount of money the club has spent in the hopes of retaining the Prem, thereby strengthening their place amongst the elite of world football.

I for one do not believe all dipper fans are thinking this way. Like most level-headed supporters they will realise that everything is cyclical, that the winners of today will be the losers of tomorrow. But it seems that the club has more - shall we say - 'mentally challenged' followers than the average club, and these unfortunate souls probably believe in the OTT hype that has been following the dippers since the David Coote thing.

We can all of us only hope for a good season for our clubs, no unpleasantness, no monumental pgmol fuck-ups costing us important points or cup progress, etc. A season of good football, spills and thrills, and an acknowledgment that the winners on the day have been worthy champions and thoroughly deserving of their achievement - yes, and maybe Holly Willoughby will consent to making a pervy sex tape with me.

One word "Vanity", he wants the team to be his own there will always be people who say he won the title with Klopps team.

IMHO it'll be his undoing.

So you're a noobie then, only got interested in football after England won something ;-)

The gentleman who drove his car through the crowd of Liverpool supporters celebrating their title win has pleaded not guilty to 31 charges. Will be interesting to see what his defence team outlines why, there’s numerous videos and will be hundreds of witness testimonies to build a strong case against.

when I heard that not guilty plea I nearly choked on my cuppa. Only a dipper would have the brass neck to plead not guilty to doing something that will have been filmed on numerous cameras - still at least opting to go to court means the thicko will get a stiffer sentence when sent down
