And it isn’t as if the recent defeats have been with late goals to take the points.

They have been completely outplayed in the majority of these matches.

They’ve scored one goal and conceded ten in their last three games.

That’s fucking shocking for any team in the Premier League, never mind the defending champions.

And yes, I know one of those games was a Champions League match, not a
Pl one.

Yeah, they're genuinely shite. Hopefully it lasts. I'd imagine they'll somewhat steady the ship, or at least not be in complete free fall like they are now but who knows? They've been garbage all season despite scraping wins at the start.

That poor spell we had last season wasn't nearly as bad. We weren't being completely outplayed from start to finish every week. We just kept throwing away games that we shouldn't have. We still do it sometimes.

These lot are losing games because they can barely get in the game and their confidence is absolutely shot now.

West Ham will roll over for them on Sunday though, as usual.

You could argue winning the 4th is what’s left us in the position we’re in now. We chased that and remained loyal to several who were clearly approaching the top of the hill, rather than saying three’s enough, let’s do a proper transition/rebuild.

If Pep wins the title or the CL with the likes of Marmoush, Savinho, Bobb, Reijnders and a declining Stones and Dias, I’ll take my hat off to him and accept I’m wrong.

There is hardly anyone in the current squad who gets in the title winning teams of years gone by. Let’s see.
You are wrong. I don't think City are going to win the title this season but I think we will have a strong season, and that the current squad will go on to win titles. I don't think Savinho will succeed at City but it's too soon to be making negative judgements on the other players you mention.

At the moment you are right we don’t look like we going to win the league! 12 games gone 26 games left! So me I’m waiting till we have played another 6/8 games we win them all then things might look different

Foden, Ake, Rodri, Dias, Stones, Doku, Haaland, Silva, Kovacic,Gvardiol, were all regulars in EPL team Nunes, Lewis, Ortega & Phillips all in squad that, won EPL, You can added Donnarumma, O'Reily, Cherki Nico G & Trafford Jury is out on other new additions

A fit Rodri gets in, Haaland gets in, Foden gets in.

2025/26 Ake, Dias, Stones, Silva and Kovacic get nowhere near that team.

Nunes, Lewis, Ortega and Phillips wouldn’t get in the women’s team.

If you think the current squad will win titles, you’d be absolutely fine if we don’t make any new signings then?

Just how ? I have known fellow workmates died. My boss died of a heart attack 18 months ago. We spent a day talking about it, an afternoon off for his funeral and a good piss up.
I can honestly say it didnt affect our work apart from the week after it happen.
Why would a football team be any different to any other work place ?

Edit can we use this excuse for our Portuguese players ?
