I genuinely don't give a fuck about them doing it, but it has infested Talkshite and BBC recently.

It's the new bollocks about trying your fucking hardest not to offend people because social media will blow up. Let's face it, anyone who goes against the narrative will have the banhammer coming down on them.

I'm just surprised they haven't sued Lamborghini or banned the colour yellow from the stadium yet.
 
Just watched the 1st half of this game. I can only imagine the vitriol some of the Bluemooners would come out with if we put in a similar performance to this.
Spit has just claimed that this is by far Wirtz best game. Well, it is a very low bar afterall.
He is also still putting Isaks poor form down to a lack of a pre season

You know they're in the crap when they start making excuses this early in the season.

I don't understand why everybody is so surprised. I said at the start of the season that I didn't understand why they were favourites, because that was Klopp's team, Slot is unproven, their winning points total wouldn't have got them past City in any of the last 6 seasons when we won it, and I thought Wirtz was overrated and that most German players - with obvious exceptions - generally don't do well in the Prem.

Then after their flurry of late winners when some clown on here said we were "light years behind them and it would take us at least 2 years to catch up", I said again that I didn't think they were that good and their bubble would burst sooner rather than later. Not trying to say I told you so but it just seems obvious to me. People get too carried away over a runs of wins and points. They're not a 90-point team.
 
So Wirtz has one decent game for the Dippers and now Carragher is claiming he is the PL Kdb replacement. Not saying he won't turn out to be good signing, but it is far too early to come with a statement like this, but it's spit the dog so I shouldn't be surprised.

They had their pants pulled down and massively overpaid for a 22 year old, he looks nowhere near the quality of any top class midfielder let alone KDB.

As you say, it was indeed a very low bar.
I was at the game yesterday and I just took it as a win is a win. However, I thought overall it was a pretty poor game with 2 pretty mediocre teams, just one slighty better than the other (marginally so).
I think Slot did the right thing benching Salah and perhaps a brave thing keeping Kerkez in.
Perhaps one of Kerkez's best games, although helped by Bowen not playing at his best. Certainly the case for Wirtz and assisted by Dom.
Long way to go and we are certainly not "back". A case of it going to be a fight to get top 4 this year unless there is a dramatic improvement.
Based on yesterdays game, Sunderland is going to be a real test.
