Five fraudsters sentenced for Liverpool Football Club ticket scam

Five men are sentenced for their part in a scam involving the resale of Liverpool match tickets.

These people had contacts within the LFC ticket office but even after those people weren't employed there they still managed to get tickets for games and sell them on at a profit as they had customer accounts, not just at Liverpool, but at other clubs including ours.

I know lads who have jobs like this & wasn’t aware it was remotely illegal, unethical yes but it’s all set up like a legitimate business. I suppose it’s like the football streaming, you see it done in the open you stop to ask questions but if you’re taking money out of billionaires pockets, you’ll be fucked eventually.

I can't understand why players on shit loads of money want to squeeze a bit more by getting involved in selling tickets. It's mental how greedy some people are.

I once heard on talkSPORT professional scouser Danny Murphy saying how he and Gerrard celebrated like crazy when Slippy G got made captain.

The reason being the captain controls the allocation of tickets to the players and who gets them.
He alluded to the foreign players not wanting many so they were able to sort their own families out with more.
My guess is the local lads give to their dodgy scouse relatives and they make the profit from it.
