Liverpool v City - post match thread

Fucking shit, to a man, Pellegrini the worst of the bunch. Why on earth he doesn't seem to realise that midfield is actually quite a useful area of the pitch is beyond me. When the two Fern's are getting overrun in the middle, why the fuck would the solution be to take two of the midfielders of and bring on two more strikers? It makes literally no sense.

I thought we were poor but perfectly safe before the first goal, which Hart should never in a million years let in, but after that we were all over the place. Otamendi and Kompany were awful, as was the complete lack of shape. Pellegrini clearly hasn't set any kind of tactics if he thinks you can just randomly throw strikers on and expect a formation and system to just magically appear. Just shockingly poor stuff.

The shit thing is that we saw in the previous two games this week what we are capable of when we actually have a fucking plan, which makes it all the more annoying that Pellegrini decides to use tactics so infrequently. Fuck this season, let's just hope we can scrape our way into the top four and bring on next season and a manager who actually considers the middle of the pitch being a useful thing to have some fucking control over.

Publicly ? Like on Twitter or Facebook ? It was heat of the moment an PB is usually one of the calmest members of the forum, it takes a lot to piss him off so wind your neck in and cut him some slack.

Exactly , a witch hunt for one of the best posters on the forum.

They deserved booing off for that showing tonight , the players , manager and hierarchy should know we won't put up with half arsed dogshit performances like that.

At least have one midfielder on the bench - youngster among Fernando and fernandinho might have least give us some enery and enthusiasm. The youngsters at the Rags are getting them better results than the senior players, bet no-one thought Ally was going to have a great season. There is a difference throwing one young player in than doing what we did at the Chavs.

Yeah on reflection someone like A.Garcia playing with the Ferns would have been better. Still would have seen Fernandinho taken off though.

It's his excuse for the loss that gets me. Tiredness. Does that explain why we haven't beaten anyone in the top 8. The man is not worthy of managing a top club. If he had any dignity left he should resign. The trophies we have won have nothing to do with his management. We should have got Hiddink at the start of this season.

Deary deary me!! I honestly didn't see that coming and I actually thought we'd win by two clear goals.......as the old saying goes "You what thought did?.....followed a muck cart thinking it was a wedding!!

We have to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down, and move on.
Deary Deary Me !!!!! The last time i said that I was ridiculed to death for years - even from South Africa that does not anywhere near describe that performance !!!

Yeah their work rate was phenomenal. They played like I feared they would Sunday. Its plain to see that this team is nearing the end of its cycle-injuries have really not helped. I don't blame Pellegrini-I think he's done well to get us to a point this season where we were challenging and were able to win some silverware. But hyperbole aside the team were shattered tonight and completely outplayed.

And we were tired against all top 8 sides this season, no. Same mistakes made week after week.
Some player may be at the end of the cycle but with better management we would still be top of this poor league. 33 points from the last 22 games is fraud with the squad we have.

A lot of posters are missing the context (again).

An aging squad, many of which will already know they're on their way and probably couldn't give 2 fucks.

Not been interested in the league all season.

Just won a 'send off' cup so 'job done'.

CL being heavily prioritised.

Can't believe anyone expected anything from tonight's game to be honest.
