The key was going 1-0 up. It makes a huge difference to how we then play and this season we have conceded the first goal way too often. Pellegrini at least seems to have finally realised there is more than one way to play to get a result.

I suspect the first goal will be important again tonight.

We need a very solid first 20 mins.
