Liverpool Vs City U21 2pm K/o

When you look at the quality of some of our u21 it just pisses me off that Pellegrini never PICKS THEM.

First time watching the under 21s since Chelsea earlier on this season so interesting to see how a few have progressed. Almost to a man, City far superior than Liverpool, not sure if the standard of opposition Liverpool set is typical of U21 football week in and week out? If so, the gulf between this and the Premier League is enormous, like 2 different games.

First time seeing Aleix Garcia, absolutly fantastic, what a footballer. He should be being integrated into the first team now. As good as he is on the ball, off the ball his positioning and reading of the game is excellent for such a young player. Whoever found him may have just saved this us 25/30 million in the next 18 months, just wow.

Celina and Barker too both far above this level, with our 1st team attackers seemingly dropping week by week, these 2 probably deserve a look in the league. Celina physically looks bigger and stronger since I last saw him.

Apart from Kelechi I think there isn't one who could regularly move up a grade, just yet. The one thing they would bring though, is endeavour. Sadly lacking yesterday in certain quarters.
Wrong imo, both Barker and Angelino would freshen up our options without any compromise.Angelino has developed into a player similar to Trippier, all he needed was a bit of faith.Barker is a talent of immense proportion, hes also an unknown quantity.....when I look at our attacking options presently, how could we do any worse?

You could throw Barker, Aleix Garcia and Angelino into our first team no problems at all. They've torn Liverpool apart all game
You could
The most infuriating thing is even when you see something so obvious in front of your own eyes, something like the positive impact of playing an u-21 in yesterday's game, but he is too much of a stubborn, dumb fucker to accept it.

They would be just about adequate replacements in case of injury but I can't see anyone bar Kelechi getting and maintaining a grip on a first team place. I'm not talking about Pellers' reluctance to play anyone except our striker, but none of them would be ready to deliver against experienced full backs or wingers. A good few of us thought Manny Garcia would do the job, and I've lost track of what happened to him and where he's gone! It's difficult to forecast how a player would do unless given the opportunity and I would be delighted to be proven wrong with any of them. They have talent, commitment but it's not just a climb up the spirals from EDS to first team. I await Pep to speed up the transition.

The fact that you've just referenced Manu Garcia as some kind of proof that some won't make it shows that you're literally spewing nonsense based on little substance.

He's been injured for weeks ffs. Before that he was making his first team debut and scoring. He made his come back today in a subs appearance, and he's just turned eighteen too.

Kelechi is a great prospect, brilliant in fact. But he never had a single game for the EDS last season as good as the one barker had today. Fact. Barker may not make it, but there is literally no way we could know yet and if you could watch today's game and not think he could potentially one day be a star with a little luck....well, 99% of young footballers should give up. To suggest otherwise is totally unfair.
