I know all fans do it, and i know i do it on some occasions, yet the more i watch liverpool, the more i think they won't finish 4th.

I think we will, but even if we don't, i can see spurs or villa, getting there before liverpool.

They haven't had too many injuries, and still don't perform with a full strengh side. Not one of there players went to the african cup of nations, he didn't buy many players, so they did not need to gel into the team, and, to give them red twots in salford there due, they have worse off field problems (Larger debt), but they are still up near the top and in the CL.

So what will be the reson they haven't come close to performing this season?

They will blame their owners if they don't get 4th.

Relying too heavily on Torres and Gerrard. Gerrard has not performed his usual miracles. Torres has been injured. (Bet he'll be fit for the World Cup though lol)

Your probably right, but like i say, the rags have got bigger off field problems, yet they can still perform.

They were missing Johnson, Gerrard and Torres for alot of games but thats still no excuse, They had the 3 of them against Wigan and lost, There problem is that they have to many average players that are overrated, Riera (City Reject), Lucas, Insua, Skrtel, Ngog, Babel, There all sh*t!

Riera is ok, but not a title winning player.

Surely this highlights the ability of Rafa, to purchase decent players. I think they need someone like a director of football, like they have in spain, who signs up the talent, as rafa doesn't seem to have the eye for it.

Best signing was Torres, but he was known to be a world class player at 19.

I have been quite amazed at the impact losing Xabi Alonso has had on their team. They seem to have gone from title contenders to a top 6 team with the loss of just 1 player. Great player Xabi

Reina was probably his best signing he is a fantastic keeper, But when you look at the players Rafa brought in other than Reina, Torres, Johnson (£18m) he has bought crap!

Last season when they finished second they did well to even finish there with the squad they had.

Yeah, Reina and as Fat el Hombre mentioned Xabi. great players.

For me Johnson was well over priced, and can't defend well enough for a full back.

Johnson looked like a pub player the toher night. Granted he's just coming back from ionjury and might be a little rusty but he's not eben half as good this season as he was for pompey and £18 million was a Joleon Lescott-esque transfer value

If it was, i think we got a bargin for Joleon. Johnson, before his injury, was decent going forward, yet shakey at the back. I would always expect my defenders to know how to defend.

Everyone talked about Gerrard being there lynchpin. But he played off Alonso if I'm right.

I remember telling my scouse mate, if you sell Alonso and don't replace him you'll be fucked. And it's looking like I was absolutely spot on.

Alonso was a massive loss for Liverpool he controlled the midfield for them, They brought in Aquilani as his replacement and it looks like he has turned out to be £18m flop aswell, I dont understand why they bought Glen Johnson for £18m and sold Arbeloa for £3.5!

Aquilani looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights evry time he plays, he's like a little paper boy. I seriously doubt he'll ever cut it in the prem, but we'll see, well we might not actually if liverpool choose to cut their losses and ditch him

The Waiter's treatment of attacking players over the years almost amounts to Sabotage.

Baros, Keane,Crouch,Fiery little Welsh Dragon all let go over the years. Babel not given a decent chance. The quality has definately been there he just cant see it or use it.

Keane was a flop for Liverpool people were saying he wasnt a Rafa signing, Think Baros was there before Benitez came in, But cant understand why he let Bellamy go am glad he did because now he's with us, Babel is a stiker and he plays him out wide, Kuyt is a striker and he plays him out wide, Benitez is a clueless tw*t! Hope he keeps up the good work though :)
