Living payday to payday.

I used to think we were relatively comfortable.
2 well paid jobs however surprising how many people such as ourselves are really watching the pennies.
Tough times for sure however as my grandad used to tell me-There is always someone worse off than you.

He's getting something like 4 mill after tax a year, I doubt he will.

I was born with fuck all and I still have most of it left.. !

Great phrase and I'm nicking it.

Seasick Steve Album I think.

Honestly? No mortgage, no kids, no debts, 30 years of hard graft, saving and a Wife who's a Deputy Head have left us comfortable with savings.

It's kids that's the killer I think as if we had had them we would be skint all the time.

I work as and when. But it wasn't always this way.

I am paid weakly.

I remember those days. Even if they were best part of 30 years ago.
£70 cash in hand on a Thursday.

On the piss Thursday/ Friday/ Saturday/ Sunday.

Hopefully a few quid left over for a bit of Monday Club.

Then just two days to survive before you start all over again.

Although giving it a bit more thought, probably a wife and a load of kids are as much responsible
for the demise of those good old days as switching to monthly pay was.

Most of us live from payday to payday regardless of what class or social strata you are.
I read an article which said the vast majority of people in this country are financially finished
if they didn't work for approximately 60 days.
The majority of us in GB spend what we earn. In Switzerland, on average each person saves circa 40%
of their disposable income.
The difference in mindset & culture is scary!
