I dont know how much longer the public will tolerate this charade of a government. The polls are increasingly showing a fundamental dislike of every aspect of them, not only as a political party, but as heartless and totally uncaring individuals. Treating us all as fools with their endless excuses is wearing very thin. Nothing is ever their fault, and I'm fed up with hearing tossers like JRM coming out with their bullshit as if we have to doff our bloody caps in recognition of their supposed superior knowledge and understanding of everything. 'Know your place, pleb, and accept I'm right'.

Not one person in the country has voted for the current shit show. There is no mandate for anything they are doing. The whole world is telling them 'you've got it wrong'. Two people, Truss and Kwartang, have agreed amongst themselves their course of action is the required thing to do as a matter of expediency, without any discussion within the Cabinet or Parliament, and no costings published about how their policies will be funded.

I said at the time, in voting for Truss they (the Tory membership) were voting for JRM. He doesn’t give a fuck but realised he couldn’t win a Tory leadership campaign.

They should have legislated a solution rather than put the entire burden on the tax payer.

Tens of thousands of Tory members did! They are the only ones and it should be them upon whom the opprobrium of the general electorate falls, and crushes.

On the subject of JRM, he comes across with every syllable he utters, that he is the 21st century equivalent of a Victorian mill owner, and I'm not talking Titus Salt material, or Robert Owen, or he is the owner of a Caribbean sugar plantation, or a District Commissioner in the Raj. There must be some truly woeful people in North Somerset who can return such a specimen to Westminster. His 'best and warmest' characteristic is the total indifference he shows to most things and most people.

Brilliant. Mrs Ewing and I were in Hebden Bridge the other day and ordered 'two soups'! I asked the young serving girl had she seen it. It must be on YouTube, I said. The fellah on the next table offered all the details - Julie Walters, Acorn Antiques, Mrs Overall. And that is who Liz Truss is - Mrs Overall!

I think I actually detest him more than Johnson, and I never thought I would detest anyone more than him. I have genuinely never seen a word of truth escape his lips. It's brilliant seeing greater intellects than him destroy him in the media although he still just doubles down. An analyst on C4 yesterday actually used the word "bollocks" to what he'd been saying in the media which was refreshing.
