Oh that's easy to answer.. TDS or severe TRUTH DENIAL SYNDROME!

Basically people want someone like them in office.. but people like them aren't equipped to make difficult/ technical decisions. You can't expect good outcomes from your neighborhood plumber to do heart surgery.

But it doesn't stop people from thinking educated and qualified people are elitists.

That's the one downside of democracy.. people with low IQ and low morals and lack of empathy outnumber people with high IQ and high morals and empathy

This isn't limited to Trump/ Truss either..

People just have severe TRUTH DENIAL SYNDROME and would rather live a fantasy life!

Trump was elected by the American people twice, despite demonstrating how manifestly unsuitable he is for office the first time round.

Truss was elected by a load of elderly, white racists who didn’t want a brown person in Number 10. That was the constituency she needed to ‘fool’. What a ridiculous system, where someone ill-equipped to run a tombola at a village fete, never mind the country, managed to attain that office. People cite she went to Oxford. I’ve met a few Oxbridge graduates who were/are idiots. Just because you’re the brightest at 18, it’s doesn’t follow you still will be 20 years later. People develop at differient speeds, and in different ways. I expect the **** has been punching above her weight for most of her adult life as a consequence of that Oxbridge degree.

In my view, she is a thick ****.
