Difficult to understand how people expected her last for more than a few weeks given how wholly implausible she was as PM, and of course the damage she caused. She ignored every convention around the budget process - checks and balances that exist for good reason - and when it blew up in her face, she then tried to ignore the markets. When the penny finally dropped as to the severity of the situation, she absolved herself of responsibility and was effectively relieved of her position.

This is what happens when arrogance, naivety, ignorance and stupidity combine with authority. It really is a matter of huge national embarrassment that she ever made it to power.

Even though she was 9/2 you’d not get a chunky bet on something like that, it’s just cheap advertising. Bookies are risk managers, as soon as a “stranger” tried to bet on that the quicker the market gets shut down. Think Graham Potter to Chelsea, was big odds on before he was even interviewed, bookies know their markets.
