Everyone should be open to voting in different ways.

We’ve had a century of Conservative-Labour-Conservative-Conservative-Labour-Conservative-Conservative governments over and over.

This century we saw Labour take us into the illegal Iraq war and take £17k out of each of our pensions, we saw the Conservatives stall the economy and run services down, making everyone poorer, deliver a shambles of a divorce with the EU, and now we’ve seen them make a total fucking pig’s ear of politics in this country and completely ruin the economy.

Is it time for everyone in the country to just vote elsewhere away from these two parties? Get the Liberal Democrats in for once and see how they do?

Or electing their own Truss who claimed "I'm going to be the next prime minister" who then lost her seat?

Absolutely embarrassing.

The Liberal Democrats are now a fringe party for middle class Liberals too embarrassed to vote Conservative but not enough to back any reformative politics.

What really grates me is that she actually did a reading at the queens funeral and took part in all the ceremonies surrounding the king as she was our pm . Fucking waste of space and now the public need to decide .

That could be the basis of his campaign slogan, vote Boris more competent than Truss.

There was about £130k bet on smarkets and £1.4m on betfair - Not major, but not bad for political betting markets.

The point was that the bookies odds were the same as the exchange - suggesting it was a reflection of the market, not a loss leader/advert.

The bookmakers (not exchanged) wouldn’t take substantial bets on that market, just as one of the posters says despite trying to get on at 9/2 he was unsuccessful in making the wager. They love the free publicity, been the case for many years now. Mecca bookmakers many years ago sponsored Miss World, you could get a max bet on of around a tenner, less if you weren’t known to them but they got good exposure from it.

The sheer and utter arrogance of tories never ceases to amaze me.
They are once again deciding amongst themselves in a party split, riven and totally discredited, who is going to lead us, without even a cursory nod to democracy and mandates. Aren’t we just incredibly lucky to have this well oiled political machine to lead us out of the wilderness into which they led us?
Putin must be delighted.

I really hope they bring back Boris. If only because the melt-down by some posters would be the stuff of legend.

In a way I hope they do - would completely destroy any credibility Tories have got, would be guaranteed annihilation at next election
