Seeing their words in print looks like someone threw a pile of scrabble tiles on the page. And hearing them spoken, like they are hawking up phlem.

I'm lucky enough to have a static on the lovely Isle of Ynys Mon (Mother Island, or Anglesey to those who don't know!) close to the lovely village of Moelfre. I adore the place, it just chills me out!

Been there the last two weeks, the weather has been stunning, and had a fish 'n chip tea for my birthday at the Ship Inn on Red Wharf Bay, its my most favouritest fish and chips in the world!

The next 6 weeks will be crazy on the island with kids being off school, but I don't mind, it's brilliant seeing people enjoying the place. I love it in winter tho, so peaceful, natural and beautiful, and occasionally when mother nature decides to flex her muscles, pretty damn wild. And it's a damn site easier to get in the restaurants!

The little ice cream shack is great in Moelfre... Found it when we did the Anglesey Coastal Walk a couple of years ago.. We saw more of the island doing the walk over a few weekends than I had done living and working at RAF Valley for five years

Anglesey is a beautiful place and I get there as often as I can. Due to covid I haven’t been able to go abroad with the kids and mrs, so we have all stopped at this place a few times over the last 18 months:

You can see the Snowdonia mountain range on a clear day, and there’s nowt better than sitting in the hot tub.

Then within a 20 min drive you’ve got some gems like Llanddona beach, Menai Bridge, tonnes of restaurants, loads of other beaches etc.

There’s a static site across the road and I’m seriously considering it.

A lot of people think of Rhyl when you talk about North Wales. But once you’re beyond Rhyl, it’s an absolutely beautiful place.
